Notes: Zoom's F8n Field Recorder is an 8-channel, 10-track portable digital recorder that incorporates several important changes over its predecessor, the F8. Eight locking mic/line Neutrik Combo inputs provide up to 75 dB of gain for the mic pre, which can now be accessed via TRS or XLR connector. Line level inputs and outputs operate at +4 dBu; a pair of balanced TA3 mini XLRs serve as the main outputs while a stereo 1/8-inch jack facilitates headphone use.

Audio files are recorded as WAVs at sample rates ranging from 44.1 to 192 kHz (16- or 24-bit), with support for 47.952 kHz and 48.048 kHz sample rates. Files are stored to SD/SDHC/SDXC cards and two card slots allow redundant recording for critical applications. The F8n's Advanced Look-Ahead Hybrid Limiters add a 1 millisecond delay to the audio path, avoiding clipping before audio is recorded.

A Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy (output on BNC connectors). The F8n has the ability to record simultaneously via USB and to the internal SD card slots, and a 'pre-record' buffer captures up to six seconds of audio before the Record button is pushed. The F8n can be powered using AA batteries, an AC adapter or a 9-18 VDC power supply via HR10A-7R-4S 4-pin connector.

Yamaha has always strived to provide sound engineers with the purest possible signal instead of added processing or colour to give it a "signature" sound, and the MG Series is no exception. The preamps are where it all starts. Everything you do as a sound engineer is dependent on the quality of your preamps, which determines the direction your mix will take, and ultimately how good it is going to sound. MG Series mixing consoles feature Yamaha's studio-grade discrete class-A D-PRE preamps, which utilize an inverted Darlington circuit comprising two cascading transistors in a configuration that provides more power with lower impedance. Delivering fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs, with very low distortion, D-PRE preamps possess an impressively wide frequency range that allow them to handle signal from any audio source without overly amplifying any specific elements of the sound. Having such a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time and effort by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to "fix" your mix.

The head amp determines sound quality, and op-amp integrated circuits are one of the most important parts in the head amp circuit. MG Series mixers feature new, high-quality, custom made MG01 op-amps that we developed in cooperation with the semiconductor manufacturer. Although many other Op-amps prioritize electrical design and efficiency, we worked directly with the semiconductor manufacturer to focus on sound quality first. MG01 op-amps feature redesigned circuitry in which even the internal components and wiring have been optimized, and use materials such as high-quality silicon wafers and copper wire to achieve superb resolution.

With phantom power, MG Series consoles allow you to take full advantage of the greater frequency response and high sound quality of condenser microphones. The input channel with PAD switch accepts MIC to line level of inputs, PAD Switch attenuates high input signals that often accompany miked instruments during performance, avoiding the clipping that can seriously affect your mix.

When was the last time you heard guitar without EQ or a completely unprocessed vocal on one of your favourite songs? Probably never. Yamaha mixers are famous for their flat response and sonic purity, but it often takes more than a perfectly-captured instrumental performance or vocal to achieve a professional-sounding mix. The HS Series embodies the design philosophy on which Yamaha has long insisted for its studio monitors, and is now available as a special paired model that uses selected volume parts. The paired model series bears the designation of MP (Matched Pair), and MP stickers are affixed to the back of each unit. Zaps is a percussion-line-synth voice designed for creating organic percussive sequences that can mutate over time.

Today's digital effects and plug-ins can create almost perfect room simulations. However, when it comes to characteristic and charismatic reverb, analogue effect-processors are yet to beat. The reverberating sound of a spring is so lively and unique that its sound is almost impossible to recreate in the digital domain. In addition to this, Retroverb Lancet is not just a spring reverberation system - it is an analogue multi-effects-processor. It offers overdrive, filtering, VCA, envelope and LFO to manipulate the spring sound and create different sounds like auto-wah, tremolo, distortion, delay, gater and of course reverb.

The typical spring reverb sound is generated by a Belton/Accutronics type 4 spring tank with 3 individual springs. It can be placed pre or post the VCF/VCA section and equalized by the Tone parameter.

The Crash function generates the popular thunder effect that occurs when kicking an amplifier with spring tank. You don't have to kick Retroverb Lancet you simply can achieve this effect by pressing the Crash button. It also can be triggered by a Gate voltage.

The multimode filter works as lowpass or highpass with a slope of 24 dB per octave or as bandpass with 12 dB per octave. It is followed by a voltage controlled amplifier. The filter and amplifier can be modulated individually by different sources.

As in our valve based model ReTubeVerb, the classic VSR-3 and the creative Retroverb Lancet, the DSR-3 relies on finest quality reverberation springs manufactured by AccuBell (formerly Accutronics). To assure perfect stereo sound, the springs were carefully selected and hand-matched.

Each channel offers two band equalization with bass and treble control being matched to the specific frequency spectrum of the springs. By this, the effect can easily be adapted to your personal sound preferences.

The DSR-3 offers TS in- and output jacks as well as balanced XLR in- and outputs. Balancing the outputs is carried out by specially designed and manufactured output transformers with excellent sound characteristics. This also qualifies the unit to be used as a first class DI box.

The three operational modes allow both spring reverb channels to be used in interaction or independently:

The lower 2 sections are DC coupled mixers that allow mixing, inverting, offsetting, scaling, multiplying, dividing, crossfading or a combination of these functions. The top section is a voltage controlled slewing processor with independent control of Positive and Negative slew rate, with some unique tricks. The Positive and Negative slew, or Rise and Fall rates if you like, have reversing attenuators. The slopes can be blended from linear to RC curves (starting all slides fast and ending slow, like a proper "East Coast" Portamento) without a change in speed. Supplier's Notes:
This updated version is identical in appearance and functionality but will include a pair of YM3438 chips instead of the YM2612. The YM3438 is a variant of the YM2612 that is identical in functionality and was featured in the Sega Megadrive II. The circuit layout has also been updated to grant access to the FM chips with minimal disassembly.

Indeed the chips are now socketed (removable) and accessible by removing the bottom panel.

This allows you to install alternate FM chips (like the YM2612, modern alternatives or even custom sound chips).

You can also mix different versions of FM chip as there are 2 slots that can be configured individually.

MEGAfm MKII features the same audio circuitry and analog distortion as the MKI, as a result both chips sound very similar inside of MEGAfm.

The firmware will work identically on both versions.

MIX7 is a seven channel analogue summing mixer module for Eurorack. It is designed for summing any of the different types of signals you'll find in a modular system: Audio, CV, Triggers, or Gate.

MIX7 gives ability to sweeten your mix with more headroom using the power of low noise analogue summing. A compact 3HP Eurorack utility module, MIX7 is an attractive mixing addition to any rig, especially with the ability to also combine rhythms, note patterns or CV automations from different control sources. The main output of one section can be connected to the input of another MIX7 to create larger mixing groups and complex signal routes inside your modular.

The MIX7 summing mixing circuit is built with low-noise operational amplifiers, giving it an excellent sound quality for mixing audio, the beautiful texture of classic analogue mixing with plenty of headroom to handle hot modular signals, and the versatility to sum non-audio signals in your system to open up new creative possibilities.
Each input is labelled with a number of dots, 1-7, yellow for input and green for output. The module matches Tiptop's system look with clean white faceplate styling.

At the back of the module is a user-configurable jumper allowing users to configure the MIX7 for either unity gain (OUT = IN) or give increased headroom (OUT = 0.4IN) for use with hot audio signals, which makes it a great pairing for Tiptop Audio percussive modules. A peak indicator light on the front panel warns the user of even the slightest audio clipping in the mix, helping to keep all the incoming sound sources at their full original quality.

CONTROL PATH is an all in one voice dynamics module that helps build full voices quickly. It contains two analogue envelopes with velocity cv, and one VCA. In a typical voice patch the left envelope will control a filter and the right envelope will be the voice VCA. Velocity control is provided for each envelope and delay front panel trimmers are used to compensate for any miss match between incoming gate signal and velocity CV timings. Envelope cv outs are 0-5V, Velocity cv ins are 0-5V.

ART QUAD QUANTIZER is a four channel CV to ART Quantizer to play ART oscillators from CV sequencers, LFOs and anything that outputs CV. This is Tiptop's second ART controller option and is designed for those of us playing ART without a computer or MIDI source. The inputs take in positive, negative, bipolar CV voltages. Scales include Major Minor and the five other modes (Dorian, Lydian, etc). The module is simple to set up with a simple menu and one knob with switch for navigation. The 4th channel can be set to generate Chords and polyphonic note streams for ART Polyphonic oscillators.

ATX1: a classic all analogue saw VCO core with 3 switchable modes, ART, 1V/Oct, LFO and is recommended as the basic building block for ART systems. It is designed for patching analogue polyphonic synths from discrete modules or multi-mono patches in ART mode. When using ART the ATX1 takes care of the tuning including accounting for temperature changes. In 1V/Oct mode the ATX1 runs as a standard old school modular VCO. LFO mode drops the frequency range and is great for patching vibrato to other ATX1s among other things. The ATX1 outputs variable waveshapes with manual or CV control. Classic FM, PWM and hard sync are provided. A dedicated Gate Out in ART mode manages the voice envelopes or any modulation synced to that voice. TipTop consider the ATX1 the best sounding analogue VCO they have ever created.

MIX7 is a seven channel analogue summing mixer module for Eurorack. It is designed for summing any of the different types of signals you'll find in a modular system: Audio, CV, Triggers, or Gate.

MIX7 gives ability to sweeten your mix with more headroom using the power of low noise analogue summing. A compact 3HP Eurorack utility module, MIX7 is an attractive mixing addition to any rig, especially with the ability to also combine rhythms, note patterns or CV automations from different control sources. The main output of one section can be connected to the input of another MIX7 to create larger mixing groups and complex signal routes inside your modular.

The MIX7 summing mixing circuit is built with low-noise operational amplifiers, giving it an excellent sound quality for mixing audio, the beautiful texture of classic analogue mixing with plenty of headroom to handle hot modular signals, and the versatility to sum non-audio signals in your system to open up new creative possibilities.

Each input is labelled with a number of dots, 1-7, yellow for input and green for output. The module matches Tiptop's system look with clean white faceplate styling.

At the back of the module is a user-configurable jumper allowing users to configure the MIX7 for either unity gain (OUT = IN) or give increased headroom (OUT = 0.4IN) for use with hot audio signals, which makes it a great pairing for Tiptop Audio percussive modules. A peak indicator light on the front panel warns the user of even the slightest audio clipping in the mix, helping to keep all the incoming sound sources at their full original quality.

CONTROL PATH is an all in one voice dynamics module that helps build full voices quickly. It contains two analogue envelopes with velocity cv, and one VCA. In a typical voice patch the left envelope will control a filter and the right envelope will be the voice VCA. Velocity control is provided for each envelope and delay front panel trimmers are used to compensate for any miss match between incoming gate signal and velocity CV timings. Envelope cv outs are 0-5V, Velocity cv ins are 0-5V.
