When talking about signal gain, we all know drive circuits at full tilt can be noisy malice monsters. To help get a grip on your noise floor, PYLON's NOISE GATE is based on a high-performance Blackmerr VCA and provides lightning-fast and precise performance. To find the right spot, simply choose between one of the two detection-range settings and dial in the THRESHOLD to taste. With either softly decaying notes using HIGH mode or a fast-closing response in LOW mode, you're sure to be able to dial in super tight tones when you need it, but without interfering with your sonic signature. Fast palm-mutes? No problem. Decaying notes? Dead simple to accomplish and just so you know when it is operating, the white status LED will also turn blue as soon as the gate starts to act.

Providing up to 30 dB of gain, the integrated BOOST circuit can really help to fine tune your tone, but it can also serve as an attenuator too. Its CUT control will tighten up your low end and is selectable between 65-730 Hz to ensure a mid-focussed and cutting lead sound when pushing your amp's preamp into saturation. Choosing between three different modes for the boost's on/off state, gives you plenty of options on how you want to use it. Either leave it ON to always help shape your tone, OFF if you don't need it, or use SYNC mode so it is activated with the GATE. Both CUT & BOOST knobs are backlit, in order to show you the on/off status of the BOOST section at a glance.

Using transformers in pro-audio gear is nothing new, but while they help to easily match the impedance of low-level and unbalanced signals such as from guitar or bass instruments, PYLON's audio-grade-transformer also gives additional warmth with associated nice low-frequency harmonics. Your guitars, synths or in fact anything you put through the pedal will never have sounded so solid. The pedal gives more 'heft' and enhances the core tone, in a much finer way and without any of the phase issues that can happen when using EQ alone!

However, when the output transformer is boosted even further in level, it can overload many amplifier or pre-amp inputs and make things appear muddy, especially with high levels of additional gain. So, to help tame superfluous low end (especially for rhythm chugging and soloing), KMA Machines added a fixed built-in roll off that affects everything below 65 Hz when the internal BOOST section is activated.

Notes: The Raster is a digital delay with a pitch and frequency shifter integrated into the feedback loop. Forward or reverse delay can be shifted once or have continuously shifted repeats. It delivers a wide range of sounds including modulated and harmonized delays, reverse delays, chorus, arpeggios, infinite descents, chaotic self-oscillation, and continuously evolving soundscapes.

The core of the Raster is a clean delay with up to 1600 milliseconds of delay time. Three delay ranges allow you to precisely dial in resonant feedback sounds and instantly change delay time with rhythmic shifts. The feedback control has infinite repeats at 3 o'clock and chaotic, textured feedback loops at higher levels. Knob responses are carefully tuned for exploration of self-oscillation and feedback on the verge of blowing up. A tone control sweeps from dark analog-style repeats to digital clarity and emphasizes the attack at higher settings. The left and right delay times can be set as a ratio, so a single knob changes both in sync. The two delay channels can be arranged in series, parallel or ping pong.

Pitch shifting repeats up or down in semitone steps creates tempo-synced arpeggios and alien organ sounds. The detune setting can dial in micro pitch shifts and chorused repeats. The left and right channels can be shifted by the same amount, a ratio, or opposite directions. At subtle settings, repeats evolve in a way that sounds natural, but different from analog delays.

Beyond pitch shifting, a combination phase/frequency shifter creates subtle evolving repeats, dissonant harmonies, and barber pole flanging. It can be pushed to extremes for ring modulation and inharmonic shifted delays that distort and break apart.

The Raster's modulation section has seven waveforms that can be assigned to delay time, pitch shift, or effect level (for tremolo). There are two random waveforms for glitchy pitch jumps, wow and flutter, and broken tape deck effects. Envelope and inverse envelope enable dynamic flanging and pitch bent delays. Stereo controls adjust the modulation amount and phase between channels, for subtle shifts or swirling psychedelic washes.

Capable of extreme sonic mayhem, the Raster can also be used with restraint to add unique character to your sound.

The Raster 2 is performance friendly, with 6 knobs and 9 switches. The original Raster was praised for its knob response and immediacy, and the Raster 2 maintains that simplicity while adding flexible modulation and extensive stereo functionality. Alternate knob settings are related to the primary knob function, labeled, and off at the center position. Both footswitches can be latching or momentary, for instant pitch jumps or quick blasts of echo. The bypass switch can also mute the output in bypass while always listening, to catch, repeat, and manipulate what you just played.

While designing the Raster 2, we wanted to enable as many classic rack mount digital delay tricks as possible while keeping the fast and intuitive control that made the original Raster so fun to use. Instead of multiple modes with generic knob names, all of the parameters are always available, so you can mix and match different effects and explore new sounds in between.

Controls

Time: Controls the delay time, with numbers labelled in milliseconds. In the Red Zone, the delay chip is pushed to the extreme. The signal decreases in fidelity as the time increases.

F-Back: Controls the number of repeats in the delay circuit, anywhere from one to an infinite to a wall of oscillation.

Mix: Controls the level of the delayed channel in comparison to the dry signal, from fully dry to an equal mix.

Send/Receive: Plug out of the Send jack into any additional effects, then back into the Return jack to introduce new sounds into your vocals. This loop is before the delay line, allowing you to affect your dry vocals as well as the delay generated by the Echo Master.

The Original Delay Modulation Machine

Limited to 3,500 units worldwide. Behold! The newest incarnation of one of Earthquaker Devices' most beloved pedals ever, the Disaster Transport. For those of you well versed in the pedal's celebrated history, you might notice some differences on this beautifully sparkly box. A new Mod Mode switch allows you to bend or stretch the modulation wave. The new Mod Speed switch offers three rates of modulation, from bizarrely animated gradual climbs and steep drop offs to rapid chorus and intense vibrato.

The delay line has been redesigned to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. Plus, it's now filtered to sound more like an analogue delay than any of the previous versions. With knobs to control the Speed, Intensity, Mix, Repeats, and Time; this analogue-voiced digital delay sits perfectly in the background with an evolved ambiance, but can also be dialled in for the dramatic effect of your choosing.

EQD initially set out to recreate the original Disaster Transport pedal in its earliest form, but the OG of EQD, Jamie Stillman, couldn't resist tinkering and improving the whole thing, so you just got upgraded, my friend. In doing so, EQD redesigned the delay line to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. The output was boosted with a cleaner mixing section; it's now filtered to sound more like an analogue delay than any of the previous versions.

EQD added a Mod Mode switch that allows you to choose between bending and stretching the modulation wave. The Bend setting offers a subtler vibe closer to a traditional chorus sound, while the new Stretch option gives you loads of pitch-stretching modulation to run wild with.

The other difference you probably spotted with your eagle eye is the Mod Speed three-position toggle switch. The Slow setting is excruciatingly slow and can produce bizarrely animated gradual climbs and steep drop offs. The Fast setting can go from a rapid chorus to an intense vibrato, while the Medium setting is the most traditional rate similar to the classic Memory Man circuit with a nice range to it.

The newly designed enclosure features knobs to control the Speed, Intensity, Mix, Repeats, and Time, with Modulate and Activate switches, making this a highly customizable pedal to get the delay sound of your dreams. Thanks to the ramp modulation circuitry, you can turn the delay time down and start to use feedback and modulation at a higher setting to harness a bizarre modulator and achieve subtle to wild chorus-type effects. Or set your delay time how you want to set it and use your modulation rates to set your tempo, so you can strum or pluck to the climbs and drop offs to match your riffs. The possibilities are endless.

Controls

1. Speed: Controls the speed of the modulation. The Speed operates in three ranges (Slow/Fast/Medium) selected by the Mod Speed toggle switch. The Disaster Transport uses a Ramp wave for the modulation. You'll find this to be much more intense than most modulated delays. Think of it as a traditional Triangle wave that falls off a cliff in mid-cycle, creating a drastic pitch bend in its wake. Or don't and just think about whatever you want.

2. Intensity: Controls how much the LFO modulates the delay time. More subtle chorus type effects are achieved with less intensity and more intensity will yield wild pitch stretching and bending. The overall modulation style can be made more or less subtle by using the Mod Mode toggle switch to select Bend or Stretch.

3. Mix: Sets the volume level for the delay signal. Hear more of what you just played 30-600ms ago by turning this up.

4. Repeats: Controls the intensity of delay feedback from no repeats at zero to self-oscillation at max. Let the past pile up on you until it implodes.

5. Time: Sets the delay time from around 30ms at zero to 600ms at max. Everyone needs more time; you are offered about 600ms worth.

6. Mod Speed: Three position toggle switch that sets the range in which the Speed operates.

7. Mod Mode: Two position toggle switch to choose the modulation style. Bend is more of a traditional chorus type modulation and Stretch is a wilder pitch stretching modulation.

8. Modulate: This foot-operated switch features Flexi-Switchr Technology and turns the modulation on and off.

9. Activate: This foot-operated switch features Flexi-Switchr Technology and turns the effect on and off.

The Fundamental Ambient provides three different atmospheric reverb algorithms to explore beautifully vast and lush soundscapes with plenty of decay time for pillowy soft pad-like decay.

Modes:

Deep - A dark ambient reverb with an added low octave, perfect for creating murky, cavernous sustain or adding a touch of moody atmosphere.
Lush - A breathy, expansive reverb featuring ultra-long sustain. Perfect for generating silky pads and immersive soundscapes with every note.
Haze - A textured, lo-fi reverb featuring distortion, sample rate reduction, and a resonant bandpass tone control, great for vintage or experimental tones.
Decay: Control the amount of reverb decay time. Left is the minimum and right is the maximum amount of time.
Tone: Shapes the overall tonality of the reverb. On Deep and Lush this controls the cutoff of a synth-style lowpass filter. On Haze this controls the width of a resonant bandpass filter, filtering both high and low end at the right, and allowing more high and low to pass through at the left.
Mix: Control the mix of the effect and the original clean signal. All the way to the left outputs only the fully clean signal, and all the way to the right outputs only the affected Reverb signal.
Slide Switch - The slide switch allows you to change between three distinct Reverb algorithms.

Trails Mode - The Fundamental Ambient Reverb comes with trails mode active by default, to disengage trails mode hold down the bypass stomp switch when applying power to the pedal. Once the LED flashes it indicates that trails mode is turned off. To re-engage trails mode, repeat the process, and wait for the LED to turn dark, indicating that trails mode is back on. With trails mode active, your reverb decay will fade off naturally after turning the pedal off. With trails mode inactive, the decay abruptly cuts off when you turn off the pedal.

Notes: A typically unique take on multi-effects from Soma, designed to induce meditative states. Hybrid analogue-digital delay/reverb/granular processing gives a range of creative approaches.

The design of the controls, functions and generated soundscapes are intended to evoke, in both performer and listener, states and experiences inherent in meditation, such as limitless space, fluidity, spontaneous development, presence, the ability to hear, tranquility, the experience of subtle harmony and happiness enveloping the whole world.

From a functional point of view, COSMOS is a large array of sound memory, in which recorded sounds undergo constant recombinations, spontaneously generating an ever-changing soundscape. This is achieved in three ways - by a mathematical shift based on the relationships between large prime numbers (the size of all delay lines are different primes), an asynchronous operation of the LFO, and modulation with a slowly changing chaotic signal. As a result, it allows the endless layering and processing of various sounds, as in a looper, but without an intrusive, repetitive loop.

COSMOS generates rich, fluid and evolving soundscapes perfect for ambient music. With the ability to freeze a moment in sound, the Deep Freeze can act as a sustain pedal for holding chords and notes as backing for your playing or as a platform to manipulate your tone into new sounds impossible with a normal guitar. In addition to the original Freeze's abilities, the Deep Freeze features layering, adjustable attack/decay speeds, glissando, dedicated volume controls, and 3 modes: Latch, Moment, and Auto, making it powerful pedal punching well above its weight.

The Deep Freeze allows for instant sound freezing in three modes of operation. Latch freezes sound each time the footswitch is pressed until the effect is bypassed, while Moment mode freezes sound only while the footswitch is held down. Auto mode captured sound automatically each time it senses signal above its threshold for virtually foot-free freezes. Years in the making and the first of its kind, Cosmosis is a stereo, high-fidelity ambient reverb that allows musicians to tailor three original spaces-Theatre, Temple, and Cosmos-as well as manipulate them in real time. In addition to controls for the size of the reverb, wet/dry blend, and filtering, Cosmosis features a unique Morph function that allows musicians to alter their reverb settings in real-time by pressing the left footswitch. The three space algorithms found inside of Cosmosis are all-original and truly unique. Theatre puts the player in a variable room that ranges from cozy to highly reflective using multiple parallel short reverberators. Temple occupies a dramatic, large indoor space by implementing numerous long reflections in both parallel and series. And Cosmos creates an enormous spectrum of heavenly reverb derived from the harmonic content it's fed. The Morph feature found in Cosmosis provides a simple way for players to trigger a gradual change to various reverb parameters over a specified amount of time set by the accompanying Morph Rate knob. Players can set both "red" and "green" values on their Tone, Blend, and Size knobs, then engage the Morph footswitch to oscillate between the two reverbs at their desired rate. Any combination of knobs can be assigned to morph. Create elegant morphs for subtle movement or sweeping, cinematic morphs for dramatic sound design effects. The Andy Summers Walking on the Moon is an analogue flanger with a simple but powerful control set of RATE, RANGE, and COLOR. RATE sets the speed of modulation which ranges from slow, smooth filter sweeps to jittering vibrato. RANGE controls how narrow or wide the effect sweeps into the bass frequency range. The COLOR control effects the intensity of the flanger effect from subtle chorusing effects to classic jet woosh sounds. These three controls interact to create a wide breath of modulation effects.

Additionally, the Walking on the Moon includes a FILTER MATRIX which disengages the LFO from the flanger circuit, freezing the flanger giving a fixed filter effect, which can add chime or metallic overtones to your sound without the movement of a traditional modulation pedal. From a functional point of view, COSMOS is a large array of sound memory, in which recorded sounds undergo constant recombinations, spontaneously generating an ever-changing soundscape. The Horizont's mission is to push way beyond the classic phasing sounds of yesteryear, and take you to uncharted phaser worlds the second you plug in. By combining lush analog JFET phasing with digitally controlled dynamics, Horizont creates a vivid and expressive modulation experience, all while providing experimental and creative features that'll kick phasing well into the 21st century.

Besides the more common phaser controls, the Horizont offers a plethora of new and exciting options for all the interstellar tone chasers out there. To greatly broaden the range of phasing tones available, KMA implemented a digital LFO with no less than eight different waveforms: Ramp Up/Down, Sine/Triangle/Square wave, a sweeping waveform, Sample & Hold and a random slope waveform going from 20s down to 40ms.

The implemented envelope generator is one of Horizont's absolute key features. It transforms your input signal into a control source to modulate the speed of the digitally controlled LFO or lets you manually phase for a resonant touch wah- like sound, depending on the state of the SWP- and SPURTCONTROL-Switch.

Set the SPURTCONTROL switch to LFO to let the SPURT knob adjust the internal phasing speed. However, by flicking the switch to ENV (Envelope) mode, it allows you to dynamically modulate the speed along the full LFO speed range, based on how loud the input source is (e.g. when you attack the strings hard). You can also combine the SPURT knob and the envelope by flicking the toggle to LFO+ENV where SPURT then sets the minimum speed. For even more control, you can even plug in an external expression pedal/CV-source (0-5V) to alter the minimum speed on-the-fly or you can use the TAP TEMPO switch (tap just twice) to set the speed to fit in with the tempo of your music.

The EXP-Mode switch also lets you choose between a manual phasing mode, controlled by an expression-pedal or an external CV source. Setting the EXP-Mode switch to the middle position will disable any external expression control.
The SWP (Sweep) switch lets you decide to use either the LFO or the envelope of your instrument signal to control the phasing.

The envelope can be set to upwards or downwards operation via the ENV switch, seeing the LFO either slowing down or speeding up, or flipping the orientation when phasing manually from lows to highs and vice versa. In conjunction with the FUEL (Sensitivity) and the DECAY controls, the envelope can be tailored perfectly to your needs.

The EMPH (Emphasis) mode from the original Astrospurt Phaser was kept, but have reworked and refined it extensively for the Horizont. The four toggle-switches determine the stage in which the phase-shifted signal is fed back into itself, while the REG (Regeneration) control sets the feedback amount. We also smoothed out the overall sound of the EMPH mode for a more pronounced, and crisp vocal-like tone. Each of the different switch variations and turn of the REG control will yield different results, seeing you discover new wild, fuzzy and noisy galaxies as you travel deeper down this sonic wormhole.

In order for you to levitate through spacetime, a stereo output has been added to the Horizont. You can switch between a standard stereo output or a panning output, via the STEREOPAN switch. Synchronized with the LFO speed, the upper cycle of the LFO sends the signal to the OUT1 and the bottom cycle to the OUT2. This is without a shadow of a doubt the most liquid and astonishing phasing experience you'll ever embark upon. But wait, there's more! Stop and take a deep breath, set the MIX control to fully clean and the Horizont is transformed into a Tremolo on-the-spot, with all the other aforementioned features.

Last but by no means least, the Horizont was equipped with an FX-Loop right in front of the phase-shifting line. This enables you to add your own secret sonic weapons to this spaceship, seeing you create your very own unique phasing sounds.The pedals' headroom was also increased drastically by boosting the internal circuit voltage to 18V, from the regular 9V input, to give the cleanest phasing possible no matter what instrument or line source you use.

The Looper X2 is a dual-footswitch operated looper pedal aimed at providing fast loop creation with no shortage of space to save your favorite tracks and samples. With 11 song banks, each bank featuring 7 save slots, the Looper X2 provides a total of 300 minutes recording time (2.5 mins per slot in bank 1-9, 10 min each in bank 10, 11). Each slot also corresponds to common song structures as to make organizing sections and tracks easier, as indicated on the front of the pedal. Eventide Audio has announced the immediate availability of the H90 Control iPad app Release 1.7.6, which enables Bluetooth functionality. H90 Control provides remote control access and Program list management for the H90 Harmonizerr pedal. The app lets users manage Program and Preset settings, perform system updates, and import/export User Lists with an easy-to-use interface, all now with the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity.

The release also implements a new Bypass mode in System Settings - "AB Only" - which allows users to bypass just the onboard effects, leaving insert routings active. It also adds support for full user content
backup/restore and log retrieval in H90 Control.

H90 Control for iPad is available for free download from the Apple App Store.

Notes: A sophisticated noise gate that can tame a single pedal or an entire effects loop! The Silencer's three-control layout provides precise fine-tuning to fit your system, axe and playing style. Threshold adjusts how much level is required to open the noise gate and allow a signal to pass thru. Reduction regulated the degree to which the gated signal is reduced and is variable between -70dB and +4dB. Release controls how long the gate remains open after the signal drops below the Threshold. Release time is variable between 8ms and 4 seconds.

I/O includes 1/4" Input, Output, Send and Return jacks. The footswitch selects whether The Silencer is engaged or in bypass mode; buffered bypass allows the effects loop to remain in your signal path when the gate is bypassed. A built-in AC jack accepts a standard power supply like the EHX 9.6DC unit (optional) and the pedal comes with a 9V battery.
