Beginning life in 1973 as Free Jazz Workshop, the Workshop De Lyon is arguably France's most storied experimental jazz ensemble. The six-piece ensemble has released an impressive array of albums over the last 40 years, though few are quite as sought-after as 1978 set Triens! Les Bourgeons Eclatant. Something of an improvisational masterpiece full of tracks that take odd an unlikely turns, the set is here reissued for the first time on vinyl since it first appeared in record stores.
