Imafan's 4MG imprint subtly recalls Finland's Sahko imprint. We're not just talking about aesthetic here, but rather about sound and diversity of influences heard across its rich and vibrant catalogue of DIY experiments. Wave Earplug Vol.1 is simply a great way to bring together some of the imprint's most active players, and to showcase the breadth of genres and styles that this extended crew like to deal in; Paralelo kicks off with a nostalgic slice of coldwave, Imiafan himself drops a quirky techno-not-techno number, while Exhausted Modern for for the New Order flex, and Second Planet choose to unleash their strain of synth-pop with the help of mechanical patterns that recall Kraftwerk at their darkest. Let's see what volume 2 will bring!
