Jamaican reggae specialists Wild Suspense put out their debut through Island Records in 1979, a whole 14 after after they first formed. It came after they had built up a profile for their superb early singles on Channel One and the album has since become a real classic. It's an album steeped in proper musicianship as well as proper top lines and singable vocals. This record features a mix of Studio One do-overs such as classics like 'Row Fisherman' and 'Feel the Spirit' as well as some new productions like 'Very Well' and tunes by Rudolph "Garth" Dennis such as the supremely laid back 'Slow Coach.'
