Since the turn of the millennium, rave casual Tim Wright has been an important addition to the worldwide techno scene by contributing to some of the heaviest and most notorious labels in the game. Although the man is usually seen releasing floor-focussed EP's on Novamute, he has also appeared on Berlin's legendary Tresor imprint and he's now landed on Fabric resident Craig Richards' The Nothing Special. As you'd expect, "The Crab" is precisely the sort of tune (and speaker destroyer) that you'd imagine Richards blasting out on those Room 1 speakers at 6am - a bumping bassline surrounded by plenty of minimalistic charm and oddity. On the flip, "Can't Stop" is another Richards kinda tune but this time the hard-hitting low-ends are replaced by an utterly seductive vocal by Toastie Tailor and one hell of a groove...
