Paul Dickow aka Strategy hails from Portland, Oregon but his heart is firmly placed in the kind of dubby, gutter-friendly experimental music that's been coming out of Bristol for the last twenty years. In fact, the city's bass specialist shop Idle Hands has decided to put out his latest full-length after releasing an EP of his last year. The man has also been dishing out his sounds via his own Community Library imprint and has even appeared on the shadowy Zam Zam label. Seeds Of Paradise is an LP without any concrete form or genre and yet the eight tracks all share a mutual aesthetic, one that's dripping with mysticism and a tropical sort of vibe. Tracks like "Virtual America" or "Wiggle Room" way from side to side thanks to broken slices of percussion, glitchy shreds of field recordings and a hard form of ambience. Killer stuff, seriously.
