Steve Pickton aka Stasis is behind this young and already essential Fencepiece label and now he offers up the first ever stasis release. All three tunes are perfect examples of UK techno from a genuine innovator of the form. 'Disco 4000' pairs rubbery kicks with wet claps and bulbous bass for a nice warm groove, while 'So-LAr' has a more prickly and kinetic feel thanks to the trippy cosmic melodies. Last of all, fellow legend Nuron gets in on the fun for 'Vanmannans Answer' which is all twisted bass and warped synths to melt the mind.
