Stealth drops from Funkineven on his Apron label under the new St. Julien alias! The Eglo affiliate is known for his wide reaching tastes and they include the sort of archival wave sounds and primitive electronics that Veronica Vasicka has been issuing via her Minimal Wave label. This three track self-titled 12" is the first overt example of Funkineven putting these influences to play in the studio and the first thing you think after the run out groove appears on the B Side is "Can we get some more of these please Steve!" Lead cut "Jupiter" sounds like an aggravated Das Ding on not enough sleep and too much coffee and has a wicked glam stomp to it and the title track plunges deeper into the foggy unknown of primitive electronics. A tip for the DJs out there, play B Side acid bleep cut at 33rpm for the true New Beat vibes.
