This is a big one; Ohm Resistance marks 20 years with the return of the artist they kicked the label off with: Mick Harris. Back then he was operating under the name Quoit but you may well know him as Painkiller, Fret, Clang, a founder member of Napalm Death or, for the purposes of this release, Scorn. His first track as Scorn in seven years, it brings down the brutality he left us with on last year's Fret album and instead plunges us into a deep swampy sea of ominous tense dub. All versions of "Feather" score a nuclear fallout. Bleak, unhurried, barren and isolating. "Whatever Is Touched Turns" closes the show with a long soak in a deep harmonic bassbin bath tub. Welcome back Scorn.
