Lucid Dreams EP is a new Ep from drum & bass artist Satl. He hails from Poland and here pushes himself out of his usual confront zone by exploring a range of dub techno influences on Amsterdam boutique label The North Quarter. The six tracks are all brooding and tense with emotion but are also hugely elegant, with slippery rhythms, dubbed out caverns and watery droplets bring detail. It's heady music but with a powerful low end that will also do damage in clubs. "This EP to me is an exploration of a sound that I've loved for some time, but never really felt confident enough to attempt," he says, surely now happy that he has in fact mastered the style.
