Throughout his seven-year career, Steffen Laschinski has proved adept at composing music shot through with hazy, sun-kissed bliss. That's particularly true of the Trilogy series, which sees the Berlin-based producer showcase tracks that draw on a wide range of mind-soothing influences. This third volume continues where its predecessors left off, beginning with the lightly toasted deep house dreaminess of "Groove", before skipping off to more breakbeat-driven, rave-inspired pastures on the Ex-Terrestrial style "Enigmatist". Laschinski's downtempo tendencies come to the floor on the heart-aching "We Are" - all swelling chords and gently tossed beats - while closer "Amen" sounds like Blue Lines-era Massive Attack.
