Amsterdam imprint Leyla has previously presented some great releases by JoeFarr, Manni Dee and Witch but now serve up an absolute smasher by Berlin dwelling Brit Mike Jefford following up great releases on Our Circula Sound and SNTS. Nonharmonic Beautifault carries on with Jefford's explorations in modern industrial music. Starting out with the haunting and cavernous noisescape of "Blank Hand" things get pretty intense on the broken, body bashing groove of "Body Molecule" and the tunnelling ferocity of the title track. The jagged tribalism of "The Burin" is unusually funky as much as it is functional and speaking of which: there's two killer locked grooves of textural and gutsy repetition included too, for DJ use only!
