A fun, tropical and highly original release from Sheffield's Phuture Motion. Ahead of their debut album The Thief comes this single led by Glide, a sparkling clash of latin sounds, dubstep bass and funky rhythms, all jumbled together to provide a sprightly and joyous burst of dance floor energy. The Colonel remix of Shape And Size is another winner. Full of jump-up beats and ragga verses, it breaks down to an infectious sung chorus that keeps things soulful and packed full of fun.<br>
Dimelo Ya rounds off the EP with vocals by Liliana Saumet, here remixed by Mr Dubz into a bouncy reggaeton beat complete with sharp and stuttering dubstep-style synths and filtered brass. Definitely check out the previous Carne Negra EP if this floats your boat, and look out for the album when it drops in May. Like fellow Sheffield man Toddla T, Phuture Motion shows there's plenty of pumped up tropical goodness coming out of Sheffield right now.
