At this point, Cecille co-head Nick Curly has been at the forefront of underground house for nigh on nine years. His latest offering on the Mannheim-based imprint (which he runs with Gorge) sees him make a welcome return to the more underground sounds he was exploring in the late noughties. The moody and arcane aesthetic of the title track treads the same ghostly trail as Thomas Melchior's work and is perfect for paranoid after hours dancefloors. Thereafter, it's more upbeat and optimistic, as heard on the streamlined groove of 'Arkum' which chugs along smoothly in funky fashion. On the flip, it all belongs to 'Cozumel' which is definitely more in line with his work of more recent years: groovy, bass-driven mood music that's perfectly engineered for crossover appeal - from tech house DJs to deep house aficionados alike.
