Last year, celebrated experimental rock band Mr Bungle got back together after 19 years in order to return to their mid-80s roots as a thrash metal band. They headed out on tour, performing sets based on their mythical and near legendary 1986 demo-only album The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny. Now they've gone one further and re-recorded the album, this time in a professional studio, with the assistance of former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and Anthrax guitarist Ian Scott. Now finally released, the set is raucous, insanely energetic and ludicrously heavy, with original mic man Mike Patton (now better known for being part of Faith No More) growling aggressively atop fuzzy, head-banging riffs, booming bass and some seriously loose-limbed, high-octane drumming by Lombardo.
