|3.||"I Fail, You Fall"|
Back in 2014, the release of Marco Shuttle's typically dark and intoxicating debut album, Visione, was greeted with wholeheartedly positive reviews within the techno community. This belated follow-up is likely to get rave write-ups, too, even if it is a little different to its predecessor. This time round, there are fewer straight-up, pitch-black techno club jams, replaced by creepy, analogue-rich workouts that largely look to vintage IDM and experimental electronica for inspiration. Beginning with the moody ambience of "Adrift", where disconnected cymbals cluster around woozy synthesizer movements, Shuttle variously doffs a cap to Autechre ("Eris"), Artificial Intelligence-era IDM ("Venera 3"), Autechre ("Eris") and the unsettling world of dark electronica ("Olga").
