Comprised of producer Guiddo and vocalist Mavin, Manhooker made a surprising debut last year with their record for Ostgut Ton offshoot Unterton, with their flamboyant take on house and disco a stark contrast to the stern techno sound pioneered on the main branch of the Berlin label. Having featured on 12" releases by Luv Shack and Sonar Kollektiv, Guiddo and Sebastian 'Mavin' Magassouba's Manhooker project lands on Mule Musiq with Heartbeat. Classic Chicago vocal house vibes pervade "Heartbeat" and it's easy to see why comparisons with the Pet Shop Boys have been made. Complementing this are three remixes from Kresy, Scenery boss ASOK and Mia Twin & Kasp, with the Hivern artist just edging it!
