Sagats & Ludovico, a Venetian duo with ties to the Analogue Cops, present their debut release of raw hardware house recorded straight to tape with no digitisation. The rusty and pounding analogue rhythms of "Alphabetic" are complimented by some nice snarling acid leads while "Army" features jacking vocal samples and more dusty and syncopated rhythms. On the flip "Australia" hardly sounds like anything from a Baz Luhrmann film, with its funky jazz loops and furious rhythm sounding more like homeboy John Swing than anything else. Finally "Go Away" is definitely the darkest effort on here taking things dustier and rustier and downright dirtier on this proper lo-fi house jam. Tip!
