Celebrated UK producer Loraine James links up with Phantom Limb for this spellbinding new album. It is an homage to equally celebrated NYC composer Julius Eastman and finds James reinterpreting and reworking the canon with sublime results. The music is still rooted in Eastman's queer, Black artistic universe but with all the hallmarks of James's own music from chilly ambiance, frosty dub techno and lush and sprawling soundscapes to dissonant bass and lengthy meditations. Though both artists are worlds apart this album brings them together in mesmeric new ways.
