Given the shocking recent passing of contemporary acid great Andreas Gehm, there's something rather poignant about his version of "Ghostminers", which kicks off this Jared Wilson remix EP. Typically, Gehm's rework twists druggy TB-303 acid lines around ghostly, melancholic chords and snappy, Chicago-influenced percussion. Aaron 'Fit' Siegel takes a different approach on his remix, fusing Wilson's ghostly synths with bongo-laden percussion and a killer dub bassline. On the flip, Brian Thrash does his best Tangerine Dream impression, laying down an ambient version built around rising and falling synth lines, windy textures, and crystalline electronics.
