Former Berlin dwellers Hinode have been burrowing their own path into deep and purposeful house music on their Science Fiction imprint, and they're at it once again with this gutsy four-tracker. "Track 1" brings an old-skool trance feel to the bass synth the duo deploy, while the beats move with a strict purpose and the cosmic arpeggios round out the tough edges. "Track 2" lingers in a more esoteric analogue electro mindset offset by surreal swathes of pad, before "Track 3" on the flip drops a tougher salvo of crisp drum machine hits and strafing bass. "Track 4" takes things back to a more primal jacking sound, but there is still plenty of room for alien synth tones to inject some weirdness into the mix.
