Japan's Urban Discos label always carries the best of the country's broken beat and jazz scene, and now they're offering up two cold crushed remixes of HF International. Katsunori Hiraiwa and Seiki Fukuda's band released a self-titled album in 2010, and that's where we're headed for the source material on this 7". DJ Kawasaki is a luminary of Japan's broken beat scene who does a fine job re-editing 'Be' and 'Trinkets & Things', offering up boom bap beats and double bass flex on the A side and a distinct samba influence on the flip which will appeal to a whole host of jazz heads.
