Glenn Underground's 1996 debut album, Atmosfear, has recently become a sought-after item amongst a new generation of deep house DJs. Happily, Peacefrog has responded to this growing demand and delivered this track-for-track reissue. Listening back, it's impressive how well the material has aged. "Entercourse of the New Age" - a near perfect combination of warm Chicago deep house, new age melodies and dream house sounds - sounds particularly current, while "Rising Son" and the impeccable "Midnight Groove" have lost none of their Chicago-meets-New Jersey edge. The jazzy and wonderfully melodious "Israelee Night Falls", undoubtedly one of GU's most spine-tingling moments, is almost worth the admission price on its own.
