Their first material since their 2011 album Colours, Frootful lay down two contrasting slabs of smouldering jazz soul. Paying homage to Billie Pool, "The Road" is a smooth, emotional ode to long-lasting, slow-burning relationships with crisp guitars, shimmering harmonies and a startlingly beautiful, Mayfield-esque falsetto from Mazen. "Benedicts Boogaloo", meanwhile, is a straight-up funk frenzy not dissimilar to The Daptones; all fast-paced and tight with subtle nuances of cosmicity thanks to creative use of the Wah-Wah pedal. Bite down hard on Frootful as soon as you can; they more than make up your five a day.
