Formed from the collaborative minds of Tomoki Tamura and Giuseppe Tuccillo, Doublet has had one previous outing on Tomoki's Holic Trax earlier in the year, and now it returns for another 10" outing of sturdy deep house movements. "Discovered Night" pushes forth on a bed of measured acid bassline while gentle chords and subtle flute-like harmonies hover on top, making for a well balanced all rounder for the warm up slot or later hours. "Cosmic Sign" is a little more wayward with its stuttering percussive kinks and trippy synth lines, although it doesn't stray too far from the dependable path of deep house. "Synthonic" meanwhile makes a claim for anthemic status with its edgy string hook and carefully placed diva vocal, avoiding any overly obvious tropes while talking big at the same time.
