What better way to highlight your standing within the music community you serve, than call on the great and the good to contribute to a series celebrating this service? That's the approach Enrique 'Svreca' Mena has taken with the arrival of Semantica's ten year anniversary, pulling together a frightening array of techno and electro talent to feature on a series of 12" releases spread across the rest of 2016. We could fill this space with the names of everyone that's pencilled in, with Regis, Surgeon and DJ Nobu just the tip of the iceberg!! Instead lets focus on those that feature on this inaugural 12", with opener "Rotary 3" finding Donato Dozzy doling out some reduced acid techno, which is well complemented by the slowly unfurling alien tundra "The Smell of Sand" from Semantica newcomer Mod21. Face down and the slightly perturbing mood remains on Stan Tolkachev's "Stockholm Syndrome", whilst the excellent DJ Skirt discards with the techno for the funereal ambience of "Angracia".
