Although his roots lie in the Berlin club scene - hence making his name with twisted tech-house treats - as his career has progressed Dominik Eulberg has proved increasingly adept at crafting albums that are perfectly suited to home listening. This is certainly the case with Avichrom, his sixth full-length and first since 2019. Rich in alternately picturesque and melancholic melodies, gentle machine beats, glistening countermelodies and gorgeous chords, the album brilliantly balances quietly euphoric dancefloor moments with a swathe of IDM and electronica excursions that deftly showcase his skills as a composer, producer and musician. It could well be Eulberg's most impressive album yet.
