The latest Ten Thousand Yen release is a vinyl only affair from label founder Doc Daneeka that has summer on its mind and certainly sounds like it was a hoot to produce. Samples abound across the two tracks, with "Never Wanna Lose You" standing out for the manner in which Daneeka gleefully toys around with classic breakbeats and freestyle vocal hooks, squeezing in plenty of loops and filters along the way. One for the drunken, messy moments deep into a night in a basement. On the flip "Got Me" is as good a slice of disco-infused house music as you'd expect from a Soundstream record. Great fun.
