For his third release of 2017, veteran producer DJ Hell has decided to celebrate the humble automobile. In other words, he's gone all Kraftwerk on us, whispering a spoken word vocal over a Teutonic new wave backing track rich in gentle synthesizer arpeggio lines, bubbly electronic melodies and subtle nods to harder alien funk. Two old pals of the long-serving DJ/producer step up to provide remixes. First, Roman Flugel provides a darker, woozier and undeniably trippy take full of bass-heavy electro rhythms and outboard effects, before Belfast's Phil Kieran nudges it further towards Italo-disco/techno territory via a mix that sounds like Kraftwerk on steroids. Impressive stuff, all told.
