"You Da Shit Girl" appears to be the first release from Dave + Sam, a collaboration between producer Sam O.B (AKA LuckyMe regular Sam Obey) and vocalist Dave Gilles II. The latter's half-sleazy, half-sensual vocals - partly rapped and partly sung - naturally take pride of place throughout, but arguably sit best on the duo's own Explicit Version, which sits somewhere between hip-house, classic Dancemania ghetto-house and sumptuous. While dancefloor-ready, those looking for peak-time interpretations should head for the acid-fired, boompty-goes-hip-house flex of Derrick Carter's killer revision and the sturdy late night stomp of Seven Davis Jr's bass-heavy rework.
