After spending time overseeing the rise of Rat Life Records, Alexander Dorn returns to the loving arms of parent label Uncanny Valley to unleash some Party Beats. In practice, that means cheeky - if typically smooth - deep house with a range of dancefloor-friendly additions (the bubbling acid lines and spoken samples of "Big Wheel", for instance, or the cheeky cut-up stabs of "Hiccups"). It's a formula that pays dividends throughout, with the piano-laden, jack-goes-deep shuffle of "THT SHT" and warm, undulating chords - and whistles - of "Bacardi Beach House" standing out. It's all perhaps a little looser and cheerier than we've come to expect from Dorn, but no less enjoyable for that.
