Sinna Man marks a welcome return to action from Chicago veteran Cratebug, whose previous edit releases for Tugboat Edits, KAT and others successfully channeled the spirit of Windy City legend Ron Hardy. Were he alive today, the Music Box resident would most likely approve of A-side "Sinna Man", a dusty and driving jack track that adds hazy vocal samples and slamming drum machine percussion to looped up snippets of a vintage disco groove. Flipside "The Message" is a typically trippy, early morning affair that adds a famous, early Chicago house spoken word vocal to a heavily altered version of Francois K's dub remix of Bohannon's "Let's Start The Dance". Both cuts are driving and muscular, boasting more energy than your average warehouse full of saucer-eyed ravers.
