Another vital reissue here from the good folks at Light in the Attic. This time it's a rough cut and underrated mini rap classic, It's About To Get Chilly, by Chilly Uptown. This one has never been available on vinyl before and is a standout of the Seattle rap scene of the early 90s. Liner notes by Novocaine132 include plenty of great context and backstory on what was Chilly's third release. The gangster rap gem originally came on Ever Rap Records and mixes up naughty sexual escapades with urgent and confrontational bars that make it a weird and wonderful record that has to be heard to be believed.
