This is the first time this has ever been done and comes in a double gatefold sleeve, is limited to just 300 copies and comes lacquered and pressed on 180-gram wax with all tracks specially mastered for the job. The MISERIA label started only in 2021 as a DIY cassette and digital outlet but is now well known for its ultra-rare synth-based darkwave compilations.

Review: This heft triple vinyl album from Demon Records finds the label served up a narrated TV soundtrack from the very first series of Doctor Who. Back then it was William Hartnell who took the role of the Doctor with a supporting cast featuring Jacqueline Hill as Barbara and Carole Ann Ford as Susan, with Stephen Dartnell, Ilona Rodgers and Lorne Cossette. Norma Kay made all the instrumental music the features underneath the dialogue while the famous theme music was of course the work of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Review: Anyone looking to bolster the freakier end of their techno collection could do worse than checking out this bumper compilation from Advance Public Listening. It is a mighty four vinyl box set with tens of tracks across eight sides of heavyweight vinyl (that makes the whole thing weigh in at not that for off a kilo of wax.) It takes in plenty of experimental sounds, ambient laced tracks for 5am dreaming and mind melting cuts for the after party. There are also wonky peak time workouts and plenty in between from a classy selection of artist from all over the world.

Review: The Matrix film remains a cult classic many years after it was first released to great acclaimed. To tie in with the release of the surprise fourth move in the series - The Matrix: Resurrection - Real Gone Music is now reissuing the original soundtrack on vinyl four years after they first put it out. This limited edition gatefold version features stills from the film and all the original tracks are pressed on swirled blue and white vinyl. Review: Sasu Ripatti's series of Behind The Silence EPs have been yet another instalment in the compelling, tangled story of his career as Vladislav Delay, Sistol, Dancefloor Classics and more. Now he's gathered together all five parts as one box set to be released on his own Rajaton label, making for a full-length immersion into his ideas about stillness and silence in music. The gaps between the notes have been a frequent feature in his music since the early days of slippery dub techno on Chain Reaction, but here he angles the approach with keenly cut shards of sound that punctuate the negative space in an exacting, engrossing fashion.

Review: Voices From The Lake is the pairing of Italian techno craftsmen and sound sculptors Donato Dozzy and Neel. They came together to do a live show at the famed Labyrinth festival in Japan and that's what gave rise to this new now seminal album. It's a deeply meditative and dubbed-out world of delicate synths and rolling drums that change only slightly and slowly but manage to keep you utterly locked in for the duration. It's pure techno that has been remastered for this new edition across eight sides of wax. An absolute modern classic for sure.
