Review: Melbourne based duo Close Counters present a lush new offering that takes in elements of funk, deep house, broken beat and afro drumming. The EP brims with the sunshine of their homeland and brings good things to dancefloors thanks to the slick, pumping 4x4 grooves that underpin each of the lush tunes. There is a mellowness on opener "Bespoke (Wallae)" followed by a more cosmic soul adventure on "Hey!!" and "Tip Of My Tongue (feat Laneous)" is then a house jam in the style of the one and only Peven Everett. "High Noon" closes in superbly smooth fashion.
