Review: Pianist and composer Sonny Clark only lived for 32 years but more than left his mark on the jazz world in that time, with countless seminal albums such as the perennial favourite Cool Struttin'. This album is one of his lesser known works - it was recorded as part of a trip for Time Records on March 23, 1960. Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones formed the outfit (though they were still also playing with Miles Davies at the time) but there is one solo cut in 'April' as well as other ballads played at an inviting pace. The album shows off why Sonny was such a fine pianist.

Review: Hank Mobley is best known as a legendary jazz saxophonist but he actually started as a pianist before moving to the tenor aged 16. His quartet saw him join up with the likes of trumpeter Art Farmer, bassist Doug Watkins, pianist Horace Silver, and drummer Art Blakey. This self-titled album came in 1951 and was remastered in 2008 by the one and only Rudy Van Gelder. Though not the most creatively challenging album for hardcore jazz heads, this is a rewarding listen where Hank shows the mastery of his instrument and plays with freedom, confidence and conversational flow.

Review: This is a must have for all us hapless vinyl obsessives who love the more weird and wonderful records out there. It is a top class collection of all of TV's best theme tunes from over the years. All the classics are included and each one will take you back to some exact moment in time from your past and flood you with feelings of nostalgia and joy. It was a simpler time back then, with just a couple of channel that everyone sat down to watch together ratter the endless dreaming and digital options we have today. This one comes on splattered vinyl for the very first time.
