Hungry Robot Clockable LFO Desktop Module
Cat: 780980 Rel: 03 Sep 20

LFO module
Notes: The Clockable LFO brings multiple waveforms, CV control, subdivisions, and wave symmetry in a simple, user friendly package. LFO speed can be controlled by the tap tempo pushbutton, clock input, or over-sized Speed knob. There are three waveforms that can be selected by toggle and further modified by the Level and Symmetry knob. The Symmetry knob shifts the wave form from a symmetrical wave to a ramp up or ramp down waveform (or when using square wave, acts a pulse width control). Clock In and Clock Out for syncing with other devices. All knobs on the Clockable LFO can be manipulated with CV. As with all Hungry Robot "Modular Boxes" the Clockable LFO can be powered with a simple 9V DC, Negative Center power supply.

KNOBS
-SPEED: Sets the overall speed of the LFO. Turning this knob will override any tap or clocked tempo. This control is still affected by subdivision.
-LEVEL: Sets the level of the LFO output. Ranges from 0-10V peak-to-peak
-SYMMETRY: Sets the symmetry of the waveform. Shifting from ramp-down to ramp-up on triangle and sin waves. Adjusts pulse width on square.

SWITCHES
-SUBDIVISIONS: Selects subdivisions (x1,x2,#2). Automatically converts LFO speed.
-WAVESHAPE: Selects the waveshape of the LFO output (Sin, Triangle, Square)

PATCH POINTS
-SPD CV: CV input for Speed. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-SYM CV: CV input for Symmetry. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-LVL CV: CV input for Level. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-CLK IN: Will sync to external clock. Will override the speed knob.
-CLK OUT: Outputs a 5V clock signal at 50% duty cycle. Can also be useful as a gate signal for your ADSR
-LFO OUT: Two outputs of final waveform. Both outputs are buffered for minimal signal attenuation. 10V Peak-to-Peak

PUSHBUTTON
-CENTER PUSHBUTTON: On-board tap tempo. Will override the speed knob.

Hungry Robot CV Keys Desktop Module
Cat: 780984 Rel: 03 Sep 20

CV module
Notes: The Hungry Robot CV Keys is the perfect utility for incorporating 1V/OCT, chromatic semitones into a modular system when it is not convenient to use midi keyboards or a midi-to-CV interface. This small pushbutton keyboard has just enough functionality for most modular users and provides very accurate 1V/OCT tracking. The CV keys has a full octave keyboard as well as octave switch allowing you to jump between octaves on the fly. The Hold button latches the gate signal for handsfree use. It uses last note priority, has two unique gate modes, two buffered outputs, and a Transpose jack that let you patch in an external sequence and transpose it chromatically through the CV keys.

KNOBS
-OCTAVE: Cycles between 6 octaves

PUSHBUTTONS
-HOLD: When LED is lit, Hold is on. When Hold Mode is on, the Gate and Retriggered Gate will latch so you don't have to hold down the key
-KEYS: 13 note, single octave keyboard. Last note priority

PATCH POINTS
-TRANSPOSE: Patching in a control voltage (i.e. from a sequencer) allows you to transpose the sequence according to the notes you play
-GATE: Standard 5V gate outputted when a key is played or when Hold mode is active
-GATE (Retriggered): 5V gate that retriggers with every new note played. NOTE: To retrigger an ADSR, you must use a short release setting
-CV OUT: Two buffered 1V/OCT outputs to patch to your multiple VCOs

Dimensions: 4.7" x 3.7" x 1.96"

Hungry Robot Looping ADSR Desktop Module
Cat: 780975 Rel: 03 Sep 20

ASDR module
Notes: The Looping ADSR is an extremely versatile envelope generator. It can act as a traditional ADSR envelope requiring a gate signal to activate or as a looping ADSR. Envelopes can be output with both linear and exponential curves. In Loop Mode it repeats the cycle of Attack, Decay, & Release. Once the Release phase is complete, it loops back to the Attack and begins the cycle again. The Looped envelope can be further manipulated with the Loop Scale knob. Loop Scale shrinks the overall size of the envelope while keeping the ratio of A:D:R identical. All knobs on the Looping ADSR have CV input. As with all Hungry Robot "Modular Boxes" the Looping ADSR can be powered with a simple 9V DC, Negative Center power supply.

KNOBS
-ATTACK: Sets the attack length (1st stage of ADSR cycle). Determines how long it takes to come to full voltage after gate is applied (up to 10 sec.)
-DECAY: Sets the decay length (2nd stage of ADSR cycle). Determines how long it takes to go from full voltage to sustain voltage (up to 10 sec.)
-SUSTAIN: Sets the sustain level. Determines what voltage the envelope returns to after decay stage
-RELEASE: Sets the release length (Final stage of ADSR cycle). Determine how long it takes to return to 0V after gate is released (up to 10 sec.)
-LOOP SCALE: When in loop mode, this knob scales down the length of the envelope while keeping the ratios identical

SWITCHES
-LIN/EXP: Selects the envelope type: linear vs. exponential curve
-LOOP/ADSR: Switches between Loop and ADSR mode. LOOP turns the loop on. ADSR is a traditional ADSR requiring a gate signal
-RPT./GATE: Works only in LOOP mode. RPT. automatically repeats the loop without a gate. GATE mode requires a gate to begin looping.

PATCH POINTS
-LS.CV: CV input for Loop Scale. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-A.CV: CV input for Attack. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-D.CV: CV input for Decay. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-S.CV: CV input for Sustain. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-R.CV: CV input for Release. Allows for CV control of this parameter.
-GATE: Gate input for ADSR mode as well as Gate/Loop mode
-OUT: Output of final envelope for all modes.

Hungry Robot The Borderland (Lite) Ambient Digital Reverb With Octave Pedal
Cat: 780924 Rel: 03 Sep 20

Digital reverb with octave pedal
Notes: The Borderland (lite) contains the same base circuitry and reverb algorithm as its older sibling, but without the modulation options. It contains the same lush reverb algorithm and retains the three octave mode. It is perfect if you love the tone of The Borderland, but don't need the complex LFO and modulation options and just want a really solid ambient reverb.

Pressing down on the right footswitch sends the pedal into near infinite sustain with the trails teetering on the edge of self-oscillation. The Effect and Clean knobs allow you to dial in the perfect ratio of wet and dry signals. Adjusting the Ambiance and Brilliance knobs sets the length of decay and the cutoff frequency of the onboard low pass filter, ranging from a small room reverb to a cavernous, dark hall reverb.

The Borderland (lite) is the perfect for creating lush, ambient textures.

Knobs

"Clean" - Sets the volume of the original dry signal
"Ambiance" - Sets the overall decay of the reverb trails

"Brilliance" - Sets the cutoff frequency of the low pass filter

"Effect" - Sets the volume of the wet reverb signal

Toggle Switch

Octave - Enables a three octave reverb algorithm. Taking the original reverb signal and mixing it in with an octave up and octave down reverb.

Footswitches

Left - Master On/Off

Right - Sends the pedal into near infinite sustain

Other
"Secret Mode" - There is a secret mode that can be selected internally by way of a dipswitch. This mode replaces the reverb code with delay code. The "Ambiance" knob is now delay feedback and the "Brilliance" knob is now delay time.

Switching: True-Bypass

Hungry Robot The Lumen State Variable Overdrive Pedal
Cat: 780918 Rel: 03 Sep 20

Overdrive pedal
Notes: The Lumen is a State Variable FET-Based Overdrive. It marks a return to the overdrive world for Hungry Robot Pedals.

Under the hood, it contains an active State Variable Filter, a type of filter that is common place in the synth world. State Variable Filters offer more clarity and presence than standard passive tonestacks. A typical passive tonestack works by removing tonal content, a State Variable Filter works by actively amplifying frequencies that are already present in your signal. The filter is actually made up of 3 individual filters (low pass, band pass, high pass) that split the incoming signal into 3 frequency ranges and amplifies those ranges without tone loss.

While designing The Lumen, Hungry Robot challenged themselves to create an overdrive that used no diode clipping. The most common approach for an overdrive is to send an amplified signal into a clipping section where diodes chop up the waveform and distortion is create. I opted for a more natural approach of cascading FET gain stages. The distortion is created by soaking the transistors with gain. To me, this method provides a more organic, tube-like saturation than a clipping section.

And to top it all off, The Lumen also has a clean blend, allowing you to mix back in some of your clean tone. At 12 o'clock, the clean signal is near unity gain. Past 12 o'clock, it amplifies your clean signal.

Knobs:

"Drive"- Sets the gain level on the first FET stage. It is normal for the knob to crackle when turned.

"Clean" - Sets the level of the clean blend. Past 12 o'clock is boost.

"Level" - Sets the volume of the drive signal.

"H.P" - Sets the level of the high pass filter.

"B.P" - Sets the level of the band pass filter.

"L.P" - Sets the level of the low pass filter.

Hungry Robot The Moby Dick V2 Lofi Tape Delay With Modulation & Tap Tempo Pedal
Notes: The Moby Dick V2 brings up to date one of the first pedals that put Hungry Robot on the map. The original Moby Dick is well known for its chimey, tape-emulating delay line with slight lo-fi imperfections and subtle modulation; a "back-to-basics" delay in the world of multi-mode DSP delays.

The V2 has an obviously smaller footprint, but the most exciting changes lie in the circuit updates. When working on the V2, Hunry Robots wanted to further explore the sonic capabilities of the Moby Dick tape-emulation, rather than a miniature version of the pedal- specifically in a lo-fi, wrecked-tape context.

One of the magical qualities of recording to tape is the lovely saturation. The original Moby Dick had a gritty, saturated quality, but in the V2, this quality was pushed to its limit. A "Lo-Fi" knob which allows you to dial in additional tape saturation to the delay line. This is done by applying pre-gain amplification to the front end of the delay chip, resulting in a wonderfully organic character when gain is applied.

The capabilities of the modulation were also expanded. The original Moby Dick had a very subtle chorusing effect. Though it sounded great, it was admittedly subtle. The V2 increases the modulation depth dramatically, allowing it to travel beyond subtle chorusing into more extreme pitch bending territory. The "Mod" in conjunction with a cranked "Lo-Fi" knob creates the most amazing broken tape-deck quality, but when these knobs are dialed back it retains the overall character of the original.

Hungry Robot The Monastery Dual Channel Polyphonic Octaver Pedal
Cat: 780926 Rel: 03 Sep 20

Polypohnic octave generator pedal
Notes: The Monastery is a Dual Preset, Polyphonic Octave Generator that allows for simultaneous octave up and octave down with minimal latency and excellent tracking anywhere on the neck, even with multiple notes. The Monastery is inspired by the rich, multi-layered, timbre of vintage organs with its subtle Leslie warble.

The Monastery features highly intuitive controls. Hungry Robots decided to deviated from the standard three knob "Dry,Up,Down" controls used in many octave pedals and went for a more intelligent crossfade/pan arrangement. The biggest advantage of this setup is that the volume remains at unity-gain no matter where you set the knobs. The left knobs are the "Dry/Wet" controls. They adjust the ratio of wet and dry and can go from 100% wet to 100% dry with an even split at twelve o'clock. The right knobs are the "+/-" knobs. They work in a similar matter, but control the ratio of octave up and octave down.

The most compelling aspect of The Monastery is the dual preset function. You can seamlessly cycle between two presets with the right footswitch. The top LED denotes which row of controls is active. If the LED is lit, the top row of knobs is active. If the LED is unlit, the bottom row is active.

Hungry Robot The Stargazer V2 Dual Channel Ambient Reverb Pedal
Cat: 780922 Rel: 03 Sep 20

Reverb pedal
Notes: The Stargazer V2 is the follow up to one of Hungry Robots' most loved pedals. The original Stargazer has found it place on the boards of hundreds of musicians around the world. The intent was to keep the overall essence of the orignal the same while expanding its functionality. The "Stargazer" sound that many have fallen in love with remains unchanged with its classic "hall" and "sparkle" modes.

So, what's new? The most exciting change is the "simultaneous, parallel processing" of the two channels. With the new Stargazer, both channels can be used at the same time (the original version only allowed for you to use one channel at a time). The V2 has two independently voiced reverbs that can be stacked in parallel. Layering the two channels makes for an even more lush reverb tone with added depth.

The most obvious change is the physical size of the pedal; The PCB was designed more efficiently without major changes to the circuit.

The "Sparkle" switch has been removed, but both reverb modes are still available. The left channel (red knobs) is the "HALL" channel and is a darker hall-style reverb. The right channel (blue knobs) is the "SPARKLE" channel and is a sparkly, bright reverb that has a shimmery quality without an octave shift.

LEFT CHANNEL - HALL
RIGHT CHANNEL - SPARKLE
