Review: The final album released by progressive thrash metal heroes, Savatage, before their indefinite hiatus which lasted from 2002 to 2014; 'Poets & Madmen was the band's first project since 1991's, Streets: A Rock Opera to feature original vocalist Jon Oliva, following the amicable departure of Zachary Stevens. While narratively inspired by the career and death of journalist, Kevin Carter; the eleventh full-length and first 21st century offering follows a less conceptual path than the two preceding rock opera-style works, 'Dead Winter Dead', and, 'The Wake of Magellan'. Over an hour in length, the project is a testament to the grandiose, sweeping style of epic-thrash the group helped to cornerstone in reaction to the genre's more ragged punk affiliations, and continually delivered on this reimagined promise so deep into their tenure.

Review: Tarja's What Lies Beneath, originally released in 2010 showcases her versatility as an artist. The album seamlessly blends genres, from symphonic rock to Europop, creating a dynamic and engaging listening experience. Tarja's powerful vocals take center stage, soaring effortlessly over the dramatic orchestration and infectious beats.
