Luscious Nights (5:23)
Hoes & Tricks (5:33)
Review: Majik & Harmony's Deep Jungle strikes dubplate gold once again with another pair of unreleased Dillinja damagers; first up is 1995 blunderbuss "Luscious Nights" where the pneumatic energy between kicks and subs is near Richter scale levels. On the B we slide into 1996 "Hoes & Tricks". Another stark dark heave-ho where full emphasis is on those immense breaks and eerie pranged out toplines. Last spotted tearing a hole in the Blue Note 20 years ago, they really don't make them like they used to.

Up In Smoke
Dark Matter
Review: Deep Jungle continues its resurgent operations reissuing classic mid 90s material and platforming new music with this drop from Harmony. Originally active in the mid 90s on Moving Shadow and the likes, Harmony has been key to the return of Deep Jungle and ‘Up In Smoke’ and ‘Dark Matter’ prove why. You can hear the experience of a veteran in the deployment of king sized amens and depth charge subs, but these are absolutely modern productions with clarity and precision which the OG material can’t match. As such, it’s a record where you get the best of both worlds, pressed nice and loud on a two-track 12” like it was meant to be heard.

Luna (6:37)
Mystical (6:18)
Review: Deep Jungle bossman Harmony lives up to his name and aligns universal frequencies with his first 12" of 24. 'Luna' takes the lead. A robust choppy cut that nods in the direction of Krome & Time with its sweeping pads and crafty broken twists. 'Mystical' brings a little more dreamy energy with its whirling chords and heavier sense of momentum. Both sound like they were prised out of 1994's hands fresh off the cutting lathe. Few contemporary jungle labels are operating at Harmony's level right now.

Fly Away (6:47)
Cloud Burst (5:59)
Beets (6:01)
Review: Welcome to Harmony Resurgence Episode 2, one of the deepest and most personal albums Deep Jungle boss DJ Harmony has ever crafted. Soulfully, it's special dedication to his mother. Sonically it's a special treat for us all as he runs us through his atmospheric paces. Split into three parts, this is where it all begins - 'Fly Away' sets the scene with big pads and emotional sonic scenery whisking you off your feet. 'Cloud Burst' follows. Breath-takingly spacious, its swooning chords keeps us sky bound throughout before 'Beets' surges in and brings us right back to mother earth with its gritty breaks and tribal insistency. Planet aligning material.

Merciful (6:18)
Everybody (6:07)
Unconscious Mind (6:48)
Review: The Deep Jungle bossman Harmony returns to his 2022 album Harmony Resurgence Episode 2 with this second vinyl outing. Following the inaugural volume, this second part packs three more striking tear-ups from the LP. 'Merciful' kicks things off with brazen hurricane soul and more breaks than a fracture clinic while 'Everybody' takes us down a much more chilled, serene route with a series of salubrious guitar slides before dropping us into some wild drum wizardry. Finally we have 'Unconscious Mind', a work of much more spacious design that's not dissimilar to the early output on Headz. Proper grown up tackle, the whole album is worth a deep dive if you have the time to explore it. Big up Harmony.

Only One (6:14)
Void (6:10)
Here We Go (6:15)
Freak (6:40)
Review: Welcome to the third and final instalment of Deep Jungle bossman DJ Harmony's album Harmony Resurgence Episode 2 wherein the London stalwart runs us through our paces with the concluding four tracks. As always with Harmony, the focus is on the atmosphere and emotion as we're hurled from tear-up to tear-up. 'Only One' is a big drum piece with precision chiselled breaks, 'Void' takes more of a technoid twist with its outer planetary trembles and tingles while 'Here We Go' comes with a jazzy, skippy twist. Last but not least we have 'Freak', a gentle album closer with a super soulful twist. Harmony restored; make sure you grab all three parts to this beautiful album.

Telepathic (5:30)
Review: 22 years old and two J Majik blueprints finally see the 12" light of day. Excavated from a full collection of DATS he's archived over the years, both cuts take you right back to 1996 and J's explosive dominance of the scene at the time; ricochet breaks, icy atmospheres, sudden emotional twists and a feeling like you're not actually on this planet. Few artists could conjure up these feeling as well as J Majik and the weight and dynamics of these remind us just why. Pure future.

Life Of Music (7:12)
Look Around (5:43)
Future Sons Of Bass (6:11)
Review: Sheffield sounds! Kid Lib returns to Harmony's Deep Jungle imprint with three ice cold breakbeat workouts. 'Life Of Music' celebrates the essence of existence with a huge majestic intro and a militant snap into brazen Amenism. Elsewhere 'Look Around' takes us deeper into a state of hypnosis with its shimmering arpeggio before the vocal snaps us out of our reverie and hurls us into full rave mode. Finally 'Future Sons Of Bass' pays homage to our grandchildren with big trippy time stretches and seriously swinging breaks.

Sample & Hold (6:24)
Review: Deep Jungle have delivered once again as some seminal sounds from Lucky Spin have been unearthed and reissued. Destination 1995; a West Country trio named Orca are making their name for themselves in the jungle phenomenon. Featuring early sounds from Decoder (one half of the chart-topping Kosheen years later), each of these breakbeat bust-ups carries a certain air of Bristol grit and euphoric rave energy. 'Intellect' is all about the savage drum chops while 'Sample & Hold' goes in more for the deep swing. Timeless vibes. Have yourself a whale of a time. (Not sorry)

Just Rollin A Fat "B" (6:19)
I Got You (Ezee Boy) (6:00)
Review: Deep Jungle goes all the way back to 1997 for this next 12". It is a couple of classic cuts form Pascal that were well hyped and much loved at the time and haven't diminished in the years since. These tunes also helped to kick off what went on to be a legendary label so have extra historic importance. 'Just Rollin A Fat "B" is a jumble of edgy amen breaks and unsettling synths next to saw tooth bass, while 'I Got You (Ezee Boy)' pairs more macho drums with softer, more soulful chords. This is a must have reissue for any self-discerning jungle head.

Knockout Noels (5:09)
Dog & Bone (5:31)
Review: Following last year's '3 Gold Chains', UK new-gen classicist Phineus II returns to Deep Jungle with this quartet of timeless jungle jams. As with his previous output (especially on Green Bay Wax), the feels and aesthetic is fully foundation and wholly authentic with an analogue warmth and rich distortion in all the right places. Flavours for everyone, as always... 'Peggy' and 'Knockout Noels' for the dreamers and jazz weavers, 'Boomerang Ragga' and 'Dog & Bone' for those 3AM face melters. Heavyweight.

Turn Off The Lights (4:27)
Review: Shut Up & Dance! A legendary act and a direct order as the recently revived Deep Jungle imprint returns with another collection of unreleased rarities, this time from hardcore dons PJ & Smiley. Back to 93: "Wake Up" will stir the woken among us with its paranoid chords and urgent voice sample, "Cocaine" subverts the classic detuned rave synth stabs with total psychosis while "Kitty Kitty" is the trippy riposte to the Prodigy's "Charlie". Finally "Turn Off The Lights" sends for the guillotine with equal measures of manic urgency and dreamy softness. Something wicked is coming.

Greetings (5:59)
Review: Straight from J Majik and DJ Harmony's fabled silver briefcases come these unreleased from rave originators Shut Up & Dance under their Red Light alias. Straight from 1994, both slap with pure jungle authenticity and rawness; "Dangerous" lives up to its name with those militant break edits and warm reggae samples while "Greetings" brings a little soul into the mix with a sugar sweet vocal sample, wandering keys and breaks that clatter and bash with serious intention. Serious document.

Seeeeeen! (4:49)
On The Flex (4:57)
Review: One of the most prolific men in the contemporary jungle game, Tim Reaper lays down some rough justice on Deep Jungle with 'Eastern Temple', a track that thrusts us deep into a peaktime Rupture set, 'Troposphere' eases us in gently with its calming pads before the drums snap us in two. Flip for more Reaper magic as 'Seeeeeen!' stalks you from afar with a very, very hot sample and 'On The Flex' strips things right back then builds things up again. Wild.
