Review: Foghat are an English rock band formed in 1971 in London. The band are known for their blues-based hard rock sound and their hit songs 'Slow Ride' and 'Fool for the City' which are both featured here. Slow Ride: Live In Concert gives us undistilled Foghat, recorded and filmed live in Texas in 1999, just before Dave Peverett's death in 2000 at the age of 56. The power and drive of these classic songs come ringing through and are a celebration of Foghat's vision and talent, many years since the band exploded onto the world in 1970. Pressed on orange marbled vinyl., this is a must have for fans of the band considering the time of when the concert date was in the band's history.

Review: Cleopatra Records are no strangers to collectible 7"s from the archives of Iggy & The Stooges. In recent times we've had the likes of 'The Passenger', 'Scene Of The Crime' and even a live spot with David Bowie in 1977 thrown into the mix. Now comes something which feels so right tucked up tight on a 45 - a raucous live rendition of The Kingsmen's classic beat track 'Louie Louie', a song which would go on to be a lifelong staple in Iggy Pop's performance career. Review: Ahead of their time? Ruined by excess and ego? A difficult act to market? New York Dolls are one of those stories about the fickle nature of industry and listeners, and the risks of hedonism. Emerging from The Big Apple in 1971, the group had a thoroughly modern sound for the time, combining hard and what was then a very fresh glam rock sound with early punk prototypes, years before people would learn what that means. New York Dolls was the spectacular self-titled debut from the band, put out by Mercury in 1973. Although a commercial failure, it's often cited among the greatest rock 'n' roll records of all time, but despite critical success it did little outside the US, where sales weren't great as it was, and the outfit would only last another few years - with various lineup changes - before calling time. This rare release charts what came before all that, including collector's item demos from their time playing as Actress.

Review: Rock Hall Of Fame nominee Todd Rundgren is an accomplished songwriter and ever-innovative producer. Here he links up with someone just as talented in the shape of Sparks, who is an eclectic and quixotic creative and pillar of the modern musical world. 'Your Fandango' (served up here on a limited coloured vinyl 7") is the third single from Rundgren's forthcoming Space Force album. It's a wall of sound with space rock riffs, gauzy textures and freaky vocals. After this comes the album with guests spots from Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo and Muslim hip hop artist Narcy amongst much more.

Review: On this unique compilation, various artists pay homage to the iconic Irish rock band U2, reimagining their timeless classics and turning them into their own., from the dreamy ethereal sounds of Heaven 17's 'With or Without You' to the pulsating electronica industrialism of Front Line Assembly. The Mission UK's haunting rendition of 'All I Want Is You' evokes a profound sense of longing and despair, while The Electric Hellfire Club's industrial-infused 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' captures the raw energy and political urgency of the original. Rosetta Stone's ethereal 'October' provides a meditative interlude, and Die Krupps' throbbing dance interpretation of 'Numb' adds a sinister edge to U2's dance track. The album culminates with Silverbeam's soaring anthem 'Where The Streets Have No Name' featuring Ann Louise, a fitting tribute to the band's enduring impact on the global music scene.
