From big warehouse bangers to more artful and pop leading electronic sounds, she is always on the move, but aways true. Aura, her latest full length, touches on a wide range of sounds - from vocal laced mind melting acid on "In Music I Trust" to the intense loops of "Traum" via high speed industrial techno funk of "Confusion". This is a far ranging album with a black heart that suggests our future is uncertain.

Review: The seemingly ever-present underground stalwart that is Ellen Allien's Bpitch Control welcomes Berlin-based artist ASEC for a new EP that is inspired by "the indecision, the fear and the finality of making difficult choices. Heavy stuff for sure, and opener 'Crossing The Rubicon' sure is a dark and moody piece but also utterly danceable. The title track has a blunt, powerful kick and whirring machine percussion then 'Our Light In Momentary Troubles' gets a little more dubby, with fat bass and chunky drums. Last of all is 'Bleep Test (Tool Mix)' which is a brain-boggling and loopy techno cut with fizzing synth textures.

Review: Turin-based duo Boston 168 show some superb sound design skills here on a new EP for BPitch Control that builds on the first three they've already dropped here. This time out they explore a more cavernous industrial sound and fill it with vivid psychedelic trips that will warp space and time when played loud in the right club. 'Gigantia' is the standout - a pulling trance-techno fusion with hard-assed drums and wall-rattling bass that will blow any crowd away and take them into the next dimension. Another potent outing for this essential partnership.

Review: Keith Carnal returns to Bpitch Control with a three-track EP, showing off his more sinister, robotic and factory-floor filling side. 'Ape Shit Crazy' is counter-intuitive, because it sounds anything but primitive, leaning almost entirely into the sonically metallurgic, electronic, and cybernetic. Nothing here is organic, all is synthetic - standout tracks such as 'WiederGutMachung' - trancey, gated and clean - are as pristine as a freshly disinfected space station. It's if an AI primed for making everything as clean and hygienic as possible has deviated from its original program script, gained murderous sentience, and started making music instead.

Review: Ellen Alien's BPitch Control label has been at the heart of underground Berlin club culture since forever. This new 12" is something of a different sound than you might expect: it comes from Detroit selector, producer and Pure Sonik Records owner DJ T-1000 who brings some hardcore sounds to four fierce cuts. 'Clitfuck' is a big old wall of sound, 'Think You Can Handle It ' pairs hamming kick with squelchy synth motifs and 'I Love It In My Acid' is a throwback rave tune that will take you to the heart of a strobe-lit dance floor in an instant. 'I Fucking Love Berlin' rounds out with peak time energy to spare.

Review: LISm, Ellen Allien's seventh full-length, is a curious beast. Co-produced by fellow Berlin producer Bruno Pronsato, it takes the form of a single, 45-minute track and is apparently based on the soundtrack she wrote with Thomas Mulker for the Drama per Musicadance performance at the Pompidou Centre, Paris, in 2011. The 30-second clip available here doesn't do the undulating music justice; in the space of 45 minutes, it groggily stumbles between crystalline electronica, horror-inspired moodiness, droning ambience, neo-classic piano compositions and half-vocal oddness. As atmospheric as an off-kilter soundtrack should be, it's Allien's most interesting and involving work for some time.
