It was a huge success commercially and reached the heights of number three in the UK Albums Chart, making it their best performing for decade. The record was written in the south of France with Nile Rodgers taking care of some of the preliminary production work. Each tunes glows with bright synth energy and songs like 'Sunrise', 'Still Breathing', 'Virus' and 'Beautiful Colours' were all hugely popular on the tour the band was on at the time.

Review: The eleventh studio album by English new wave band Duran Duran, Astronaut was first met with mixed critical and commercial success compared to their earlier albums like Pop Trash and Seven And The Ragged Tiger, but was no less notable for it being the recorded statement of the reunion of the band's most famous, core five members in 2001.
