Review: Gottingen-based producer Ben Bohmer has released a wealth of material since first coming to our attention earlier in the decade, yet "Breathing" still marks his first foray into the full-length format. Wisely, the German has chosen to mix things up a little, offering up a range of songs and instrumentals that are far less wedded to the dancefloor than his 12" singles. Of course, there are still a number of throbbing, peak-time numbers present - see the moody, warehouse-ready tech-house rumble of "Wall Of Strings" and the soaring progressive house rush of "Maelstrom" - but these generally sit between deeper cuts with extended ambient intros and outros, as well as more downtempo explorations of his warm, melodious and ear-catching trademark sound.

Review: It could be said that the work of Aussie label Anjunadeep doesn't really get the spotlight it deserves. It's been serving up some fine deep and progressive house sounds for many years now, serving as a launch pad for artists like Dusky amongst others. This new album from former pizza delivery driver CRI is a follow-up and spiritual successor to his debut album Juvenile which was also released on this label. It was written while traveling across the world and features the return of collaborators Jesse Mac Cormack and Sophia Bel, a spot from London hip-hop duo Everyone You Know, and the soulful tones Klo Pelgag as well as indie-folk trio Half Moon Run.

The We Are The Brave boss and Drumcode mainstay corrects that wrong now with an expansive full length on Anjunadeep. It comes in a fancy spot-varnished sleeve on neon yellow wax and across four sides it really digs deep into every facet of his sound. There is a moody ambient opener followed by deep and melodic breakbeats, pulsing main room house music, vocal jams for summer fun and some big jungle-tinged rhythms in collaboration with High Contrast and plenty more, all of which really show off the big man's range.

Review: Anjunadeep has pulled out another majestic album here, this time from Nils Hoffmann. 'A Radiant Sign' is his sophomore album and another one that backs up many people's claims that he is one of the most exciting emerging talents out there. The Berlin-based producer showcases his mastery of his synths and magical melodic sounds with music that takes cues from the likes of Rufus du Sol, Olafur Arnalds and Stephan Bodzin. He opts for hard drums on 'Tiderays' but more ambient designs on 'A Radiant Sign' while 'Let Me Go' is complex synth work that takes you to a higher emotional plane.

Review: Three years after his last album the Anjunadeep label, Marsh is back with another serene exploration of his singular deep house sound. Endless is another ambitious album across four sides of vinyl that features plenty of associates guesting such as Wassu & Mariel Beausejour, Jodie Knight and Simon Doty. It has a range of emotions that go from deeply intense and personal to more expansive and optimistic, all with compelling grooves and well-executed sound designs in each tune. This is another triumph for Marsh, who by now is a master of his craft.

Review: 'Ride Away' is the latest album from Anjunadeep mainstay Moon Boots. It's a record that touches on themes of personal exploration, love and friendship and was written during a two year period starting back in the early part of 2021. The DJ and producer born Peter Dougherty once again shows off his skills on the keys as his blends his usual styles - soul, disco and house - with elements of synth pop and breakbeats as well as colourful psychedelia. Years of living in Chicago then Brooklyn have also rubbed off as these eclectic sounds have more than one foot on the dancefloor.

Review: As the vibrant and colourful cover artwork makes clear, Moon Boots latest album for Anjunadeep - his second following well-received 2017 debut "First Landing" - is a wonderfully kaleidoscopic and positive affair full of cheery, dancefloor-friendly songs and picturesque instrumentals (see the twinkling "Trance & Dental"). The American producer is a master at blurring the boundaries between radio-friendly house, deep synth-pop and nu-disco, and much of "Bimini Road" is based around this accessible and summery musical intersection. There are a few pleasing curveballs dotted across the LP, though, including the title track's piano-heavy Balearic chug and the sunny two-step garage-pop of Gary Saxby hook-up "Gary's House".

Review: Utrecht-based duo Tinlicker is Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven, and their new double album comes on green and blue wax on the mighty Anjunadeep label. In Another Lifetime has already been proceeded by single 'Be Here and Now' and drops at the same time as a second single, 'You Take My Hand' featuring Jamie Irrepressible. The record, like many of recent times, was written during lockdown and draws on the duo's own personal experiences of those weeks and months. Along with the help of some fine vocalists they serve plenty of emotional highs and lows and touch on deep house, techno and melodic electronica.
