The extended mix goes first with a nice pop-tinged and subtly Balearic rework with warming electronic drums and the original emotive vocals. Their Moody mix then breaks up the beast a little into tumbling affairs that are perfect for summer festival deployment. On the flip is the heart-wrenching dance pop nugget that is the original of 'Queen Of Ice' (feat Dizzy) before the best of the lot - a nice and breezy 7" mix that is clean and catchy.

Review: Three years after their last collaboration 'Lost In Translation', French producer Darius and Nigerian singer Wayne Snow cross paths once again for two sublime moments of contemporary soul. Trembling with echoes of Thundercat and Plant Life, Wayne's high notes are the perfect complement to Darius's dreamy signature as 'Equilibrium' shows off their penchant for hazy house music while 'Apology' takes more of a sedate, breezy stroll in a similar way to Amp Fiddler. Review: The much loved cult free zine Faith Fanzine relaunched recently to a welcome audience. Now they follow it up with the launch of their own label, also called Faith. The first release is a double 12" reissue of the classic 'Cathedrals' by DC LaRue. They say the aim is to "educate a new generation of house fans" and they do that by enlisting contemporary funk and soul maestros Jamie 3:26, Maurice Fulton, Greg Wilson and Faith's own Terry Farley & Dave Jarvis to serve up their own takes of this classic vocal track that has been sampled hundreds of times over the years.

Review: Whatever you were expecting from an album named 'Superflous', forget it. An exploration into all the many paths of light that refract from the prism of house music, Bagarre commands the dancefloor with every track, placing specific emphasis on keys - a side of the genre that the mainstream has fallen out of love with in recent years. The silky smooth jazz house of 'Espirit Coubertin', a more classic NYC brand of vocal house (beset with 80s synth phrases) in 'Truman Flow' and a divulgence into some driving piano acid house with chopped up vocals in 'Annees Folles' to even a more modern, turn of the century approach with the big hit 'Eurovision' - I could go on. A wonderful and tight package, this LP almost feels like a compilation for how varied and versatile the tracks are. The packaging being one of the selling points of course, the carbon impact of the vinyl production promising to be compensated by a French organisation. You certainly don't have to feel bad about dancing to this now.

Review: For the latest must-check 12" on his essential Le Edits imprint, Dimitri From Paris has taken his rusty scalpel to two tracks from British soul and disco outfit Delegation. On side A, he delivers two versions of their soaring, 1979 peak-time disco anthem 'Heartcahe No. 9': a chunky, lightly dubbed-out, full vocal rework (the 'Nine Minutes of Funk' mix), and a stripped-back, solo-laden disco dub with delay effects aplenty, more cowbell (naturally) and a genuine all-action vibe. Over on side B, he reworks Eau De Vie album track 'One More Step To Take', first delivering a superb, vibraphone-heavy Philadelphia soul style revision (the 'Steppin' Into Philly' mix), before laying down another instrumental, groove-based Dub (the gorgeous and still pleasingly grandiose 'Brotherly Love' mix).

There's also a smattering of yacht rock within the thirteen track set, whilst the ubiquitous Panda Bear turns up on the midnight stutter funk album highlight "Doin' It Right". Those expecting a return to Daft Punk's Homework heyday will be disappointed but Bangalter and de Homem-Christo are touching forty so the polished, expertly constructed disco direction makes perfect sense.

Naturally fans will already know that "Derezzed" aside, this is strictly Daft Punk doing soundtrack material as opposed to Daft Punk doing new Daft Punk. One of the dance music albums that EVERYONE needs in their collection (without argument) Homework makes a reappearance for those who were either too young for the original, or those who've caned their copies too much. Riddled with 'that' French sound, this influenced more producers than you could possibly mention. Just revisit cuts like the chugging funky house of "Revolution 909" and the immense techno workout "Rollin' & Scratchin'" and you'll quickly understand/remember why. Do your Homework.

For this seismic album, the band developed and enriched the minimalist production style typical of their previous releases though collaborating with session musicians performing live instrumentation, limiting the use of electronic instruments to simple drum machines, a custom-built modular synthesiser, and their signature vintage vocoders. Review: Originally released in 2003, Daft Club was the first official compilation of any Daft Punk material, and they chose to gather together some of their most prominent remixes from the likes of The Neptunes, Cosmo Vitelli, Basement Jaxx and Slum Village along with a few other exclusives and obscurities like 'Aerodynamite' and 'Overture'. It's a must for any fan, especially now we know (or at least assume) there won't be any more DP material to come in the future. Review: With each album, Daft Punk threw down something new for their mammoth fanbase to deal with. Never ones to repeat themselves or play it safe, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo ruffled feathers when they followed up the pop-tastic heights of Discovery with the rock-tinted stylings of Human After All. In hindsight, with the world-beating project brought to an end, the album sounds like Daft Punk through and through, not least on lead single 'Robot Rock', but full credit to them for not taking the easy route to give the fans what they want. As we reflect on the legacy of one of the biggest dance acts of all time, it's a fine time to revisit this album with a sparkling new pressing as part of the Daft Life Ltd series.
