Turntable Styluses | Hifi Styluses
The stylus is the single most important point of contact between your records and the rest of your hi-fi system, converting the grooves into electrical signals via your cartridge. Styluses – also known as styli or sometimes needles – wear out with use and can be damaged, which means it’s often essential to replace the stylus on your cartridge. A worn stylus is also very likely to damage your records permanently, harming the sound quality even further.
Audiophile brands including Audio-Technica, Goldring and Nagaoka offer replacement styluses for their own cartridges, while third-party brands such as Kyowa and Tonar offer other options.
