Notes: Zoom's F8n Field Recorder is an 8-channel, 10-track portable digital recorder that incorporates several important changes over its predecessor, the F8. Eight locking mic/line Neutrik Combo inputs provide up to 75 dB of gain for the mic pre, which can now be accessed via TRS or XLR connector. Line level inputs and outputs operate at +4 dBu; a pair of balanced TA3 mini XLRs serve as the main outputs while a stereo 1/8-inch jack facilitates headphone use.

Audio files are recorded as WAVs at sample rates ranging from 44.1 to 192 kHz (16- or 24-bit), with support for 47.952 kHz and 48.048 kHz sample rates. The H6 offers four XLR/TRS combo jacks with dedicated pad switches and gain control for distortion-free capturing. The H6 features two 1/8" outputs, a stereo line out as well as a headphone out with dedicated volume control.

The H6's USB port enables it to serve as a multi-channel audio interface for your laptop or iOS tablet.

When the H6 is set to "Stereo Mix" in the USB menu, it acts as a 2-input/2-output interface; when set to "Multi Track," it acts as a 6-input/2-output interface.

Record continuously for over 20 hours with just 4 AA batteries or extend your recording time indefinitely with the optional AD-17 AC adapter.
