Review: The 3rd release in No Fuss's vinyl series offers the likes of Saison, Risk Assessment, & Natasha Kitty Katt. A1 is a deep and dirty number from Saison titled "Till The Day I Die". Jackin' beats and a bumpy bassline complimented by a Juno 60 synth & sampled vocals. A2 is a deeper track from House artist Risk Assessment with sampled vocals and bluesy piano titled "I Don't Understand". B1 "The Riff" is classic Saison at its best. Their jazzy pianos, driving bass and swinging beats never disappoint the dance floor. B2 is Glitterbox resident and rising DJ Natasha Kitty Katt. Katt offers her unique disco touch of cut up samples and filtered drums to create a feel good disco house slammer.
Review: A rare bit of wax from sunny California, 12 Inches Deep returns with the continuation of their original debut release, West Coast Dance Traxx Vol. 2. More no nonsense deep house & garage compiled for club use, this time featuring 3 of California's finest; Los Angeles based producer DJs, Ricky Tinez, Akumen, and label manager Urbanite, plus international support from UK/BE based Le Smoove. Leading the order is "That Day" (dub mix), an emotively dreamy, chord driven roller by Ricky Tinez, followed by the noticeably grittier, disco influenced groove of Akumen's "Inner Life" (All of Music). Info side we have "G-Groovez," an upbeat, breezy, shuffle from the likes of Le Smoove, with Urbanite's "Triple Filtered," a classically influenced garage house arrangement reminiscent of the anthemic 90's New York sound, to close things out. Overall, a lush assortment of trax suited for any box, or collection, with appreciation for "deep."
Review: We are proud to present the second record on Axces, which comes from our close friend Frits Caroe aka Popmix. Recorded in 2017 in the Nordvest Auto facilities, the three tracks on his debut give a sense of Frits' mastery of effective, simplistic melodies.

Review: After spending three years wowing us with dazzling EPs on Sampling As An Art, Ego, Wild Oats and Sound Signature, Byron The Aquarius is finally ready to drop his debut album. As the title suggests, "Astral Traveling" is a suitably starry affair, with the fast-rising producer wrapping twinkling electronics, dreamy pads, hazy vocals and jazz-funk influences keys around sumptuous deep house grooves, dusty hip-hop beats and pitched-down, post-boogie backing tracks. Highlights include the deep space jazz-funk flex of "Deep In That ***** (feat. MDMA)", the driving Detroit deep house soulfulness of "Sorry Kari (Lu$t)", the jazzy downtempo beats and sultry soul vocals of "My Only Life (featuring Brandon Banks)" and the ultra-deep head-nodding hip-hop of "I Can't Help Myself (U)".

'Central 13' is a 90ties vibe track with grand-piano chords played underneath groovy 909 drums made for the dancefloor, while 'Gonna Be' with the lovely voice feature of Detroit's rising artist Javonntte also get's you back to the golden era of 90ties classic house. On the B face, Meemo ensure his soul mood with this 'Untitled' gem while Yoshiko Okabe leave towards a darke, based on strings samples and freaky sounds. Sure thing!
Review: Club of Jacks follow up their bestselling debut vinyl release with another 4 tracker of heavyweight House & Garage cuts. This EP also features keyboard maestro Raphael 'Raffy' Bushman who adds some very special vibes. Opening track 'Follow Me' fuses deep basslines, an echoed sax riff and dubwise vocals with a rolling 4/4 UKG beat and mid-tune dubbed out breakbeat section. 'Bring It Back' is the first of the tunes featuring Raffy and he lays down some sublime jazzy piano over skippy swung beats, rhodes pads and nostalgic female R&B vocal cuts. On the flip side, 'Need Your Loving' features more of Raffy's exceptional keyboard skills in the form of organ stabs, uplifting piano solos and a funky bassline over a feel good groove. Review: The first Sex Tags Mania outing of 2019 comes from a familiar face: label regular Skatebard. It's the eccentric Norwegian producer's first outing for the Fett brothers' delightfully quirky house and techno imprint since 2013. He's in druggy late night mode on "Conga", layering dubbed-out U.S garage style organ stabs and warehouse-ready riffs atop a jacking, Chicago house influenced rhythm track. On the flip, Skatebard guests on a live cover of the track by mysterious Sex Tags twosome Crystal Bois. With background crowd noise guaranteeing oodles of atmosphere, the performance is sweaty, druggy, dubbed-out, intoxicating and deliciously saucer-eyed.

Review: Legendary Italian house/deep house DJ and producer Don Carlos based in Varese, North Italy. Active since the late 70s. His productions have mixing house rhythms with afro-american jazz sounds, verging sometime towards disco, sometime towards deep house or electronic soul. There's a similarly warm and hazy feel to second cut "Analog Express", where a nagging bassline and chillin' beats come wrapped in sunrise-ready electronics, toasty chords and more cut-up old school jazzy house. Throw in some refreshingly positive synthesizer flourishes of the kind once found in Italo-house records and you've got another tried-and-tested winner. Elegant, well produced classic deep house with sensual jazzy and smooth synth elements that sound really good on any equipment. All of the tracks on this EP are quality for anyone into deep house and quality club music in general.
Review: London's Counterfeit Soul gathers some serious hitters for the labels 4th release. Full of the essence of Detroit, Label boss Frazer Campbell kicks of the A side with a Cloud 909 with the legendary Jorge Zamacona injecting the heat for Doom Dub. On the flip Jorge Caiado from Carpet & Snares creates a honey pot of smooth hypnotising chicago house with Ste Roberts closing the release with his signature rawness. A glossy yet textured elegance from these guys. Top tip for the Summer.
Review: Dan Piu is the man behind the long running techno label "Moto Music" and also the driving force behind "deepArtSounds". The Alphaville ep is nothing less than a showcase of his signature atmospheric, textured sound that defines his overall production style. Having releases as early as 1997, we're sure you'll enjoy the music from this seasoned veteran of electronic music.

Review: Back in 2011, Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper debuted their Director's Cut project by teaming up with old pal Jamie Principle on "I'll Take You There". Here it gets the reissue treatment, with a trio of classic mixes being joined by a fresh revision from scalpel maestro Moplen. His version is delicious, with Principle's loved-up vocal rising above bubbly synth-bass, evocative organ lines, swirling synthesizer motifs and sunrise chords. There's another chance to enjoy Director's Cut's own warm and glassy-eyed "Signature Remix", a second spin for Dimitri From Paris's slightly breezier (but no less loved-up) re-edit and a boisterous funky house rework from the Shapeshifters that some may have missed first time around.

Review: Spanish deep house ambassador Jose Rico lands on Chubby with a sultry collection of high pedigree jams that will sink under your skin, like the best machine soul should. There's definitely a whiff of Detroit about opening cut "Can't Be To Paradise," but it's offset by a Mediterranean mellow tint to the dynamic hardware interplay. "Four Eyes" has a spacier feel thanks to a particularly fizzy pad tone and some artful reverb, while "Ind Soul" is a melancholic jam shot through with lingering keys and a bubbling acid line dedicated to Fon. On the B side, "Gem Vmu" lightens the mood with some sprightly piano, and then "Juno Space" takes us out of orbit once more with some gorgeous lead lines that fall like pearl drops around Rico's tasteful grooves.
Review: Remarkably, 18 years has past since Red Ember Records offered up the first installment in their "Deepsounds" series of multi-artist EPs. Volume five kicks off with "Relax", a warm and fuzzy chunk of head-nodding deep house hypnotism by Sauco and Prakash that boasts some raw analogue bass and oven-hot stabs. Erell Ranson goes even jazzier, deeper and more melodious on the superb "Beauty Of Sadness", while Frankie Soukal's "Polaroid" wraps spacey, dubbed-out and delay laden chords around a chunky groove. Arguably best of all though is Tominori Hosoya's luscious "2 Years Later", an ultra-deep, dreamy and positive cut that's twice as tactile as Play-Dough and infinitely tastier.
Review: The crew behind the Hizou label is rightly chuffed that they've managed to secure this two-tracker from Andres, a Detroit producer whose releases - whether aimed at deep house dancefloors or hip-hop heads - are rarely less than superb. The two tracks the label has selected are suitably strong, too. Check first A-side "All U Gotta Do Is Listen", a warm and hazy chunk of break-driven mid-tempo deep house rich in jazzy samples, swirling crowd noises, chunky bass and dewy-eyed instrumentation. Andres' vintage influences are explored further on flipside "Night Time Is The Right Time", a P-funk influenced deep house bumper whose swinging drums and elongated organ chords casually tip a wink to classic New Jersey garage.
Review: Since signing with Ransom Note Records in 2016, Bawrut has been on a fine run of form. Remarkably, this is the Madrid-based Italian's fifth EP for the imprint and it's every bit as memorable as its four predecessors. Like much of his work, title track "Pronto Arpeggio" is rich in razor-sharp analogue electronics, with high register arpeggio synthesizer lines rising above punchy beats, manic drum fills and mind-altering acid motifs. It's successfully toughened up by KiNK before Bawrut returns with "Shooreee", another boldly percussive and constantly building exercise in analogue electronics manipulation. Ruf Dug's brilliant remix takes the track to another level entirely via even denser drums, rougher acid riffs and more glistening lead lines, while "Atchu" is a chugging chunk of late night acid sleaze.
