Time Guard (7:34)
Maths (7:34)
Review: To date we've not been treated to a solo outing from Lazare Hoche - he's most commonly spotted alongside fellow deep house operative Malin Genie, but now he's going it alone with two cuts of assured groovers suited to the hazier hours of a 4/4 throwdown. "Time Guard" is a swooning beauty of a track buoyed by gorgeous synth strings and a nagging groove. "Maths" is a more forthright, club-focused affair that places all the emphasis on sharp, funked up drum machine beats, but there's still a chill in the air that keeps the track firmly rooted in the deep end.

Pistolwhip (6:00)
Someone (6:40)
Review: For the fifth edition in his eponymous imprint, Instinct (aka Burnski) goes deep into the UK garage underground on these two subterranean cuts that call to mind the mid '90s glory days - when Tuff Jam and Double 99 reigned supreme. On the A side, we have the sultry and smoky early evening basement vibe "Pistolwhip" getting the 2-step vibe in full effect. On the flip, things get even more fierce on the darkside bounce of "Someone" backed up with a roaring sub-bass, swing-fuelled riddims and blissful atmospherics.

Whispered Story (7:41)
Millions Of Stars (7:07)
Echoes (7:04)
Review: Sakro has been delivering grade A minimal pumpers for some time now, appearing on labels as respected as Visionquest, Raum...musik, Karlovak and Pleasure Zone, and now he's landing on venerable London institution Half Baked with another salvo of upfront party delights. "Whispered Story" is infectious, funky and precision engineered for peak time action, while "Millions Of Stars" strips things back to a more mystical house shimmer adorned with gorgeous sweeps of pads. "Echoes" nudges things into woozy after hours territory with pitch-wobbling tones and a steady shuffling beat that will serve the minimal house crowd very well indeed.

A (5:56)
B1 (6:44)
B2 (7:16)
Review: There's speculation about who might be behind the Monsieur Blue project, but for now the mystery remains locked down behind a shroud of classy minimal house joints to suit the deeper end of the up-all-night nutritional supply. The A side track has a wonderfully smoky mood to sink into, where the snaking bump of the beat courses its way through celestial twinkles and moody clouds with a warm, mellow quality to them. B1 keeps things focused on the rhythm section without losing sight of the immersive atmosphere, before B2 strips things back to a steady, subtle ticker which rounds off another sterling 12" from the mystery man.

Mandela Move (12:56)
Fontec (13:04)
Ectroscop (13:24)
Beetglass (13:04)
Review: Fresh from remixing Afrobeat legend Tony Allen for Dekmantel, Ricardo Villalobos presents his first solo outing of 2019 - an epic double-pack containing four lengthy workouts in his signature off-kilter, minimalist techno style. First up is title track "Mandela Move", where chanted South African vocals weave their way in and out of hypnotic, funk-fuelled, glitch-driven drums that rank amongst Villalobos' boldest beats for some time. "Fontec" is deeper and subtly more melodious, with plenty of weirdo noises and some seriously chunky bass, while "Ectroscop" sees our Chilean hero brilliantly blend the swinging funk of breakbeat with his mind-altering percussion and production. Finally, "Beetglass" is as crunchy, bass-heavy and percussive as anything Villalobos has done to date.

Magic Through Music (9:01)
Review: Championed by Richie Hawtin & Ricardo Villalobos (featured on his Cocoon mix CD 'Taka Taka') the A-Side is armed with a highly infectious melody, beefed up with big, bouncy funky bassline. The B-side has trippy hypnotic sounds that echo in & out of the fluid melodies.

Politics Of Dancing & Chris Stussy - "Track 1" (6:20)
Politics Of Dancing & Sun Archive - "Track 2" (6:35)
Review: The P.O.D. Cross project continues apace with another pair of choice partnerships between Parisian house champs Politics Of Dancing and Chris Stussy on the A side and Sun Archive on the flip. With Chris Stussy, the vibe is understated but driving, with a great emphasis placed on the hooky bassline and subtle dubby chord stabs. On the B side, Sun Archive brings out a more hazy, pad led affair that sounds purpose built for spaced out mornings when the dancefloor wants to feel warm and fuzzy, without losing the necessary energy provided by a sturdy rhythm section.

A La Coque (6:21)
Mykonos Heuvos (6:38)
Sunny Side Up (6:30)
Review: Apollonia co-head and all-round Parisian legend Dan Ghenacia steps up for his label's latest release. On The Egg EP, you can really hear the various shades of French house presented by a true expert who lived and played throughout the city's best times for over two decades. From the sexy and slinky late night bounce of "A La Coque" which could have been easily played at his Batofar residency at the turn of the millennium, and the tripped-out and slammin' shuffle of "Mykonos Huevos" (taking the best of early '90s Chicago) to the emotive dancefloor drama of "Sunny Side Up" taking on the very best of Detroit influences such as Terence Parker or Blake Baxter.

6am Cab To Leyton (Sweely remix) (5:56)
Review: There has been a renewed interest around the work of veteran British producer Asad Rizvi's alias Silverlining, so much so that he has decided to kickstart the project again. His new offering "6am Cab To Leyton" on Talman features an infectious swing-fuelled shuffle that is intoxicating and hypnotic enough to be played at any decent afterhours party. The remixes on the flip come courtesy of Fuse London main man Enzo Siragusa, who delivers a trippy minimal rendition that is equally suited to Sunday morning style shenanigans, while Frenchman Sweely (Concrete/Distant Hawaii) takes the track into moodier territory.

Priku - "Outcast" (7:30)
Mau - "Time Modulation" (7:43)
Cally - "Laga" (7:29)
Cally - "Duoar Meh" (7:29)
Review: Rominimal is the order of the day on the third edition of Jacob Husley and Peter Pixzel's new WYS Limited imprint, named after the very successful run of events held in London for the past nine years at fabric. They weren't modest either, tapping the scene's very best to deliver their idiosyncratic style of minimal and tech house. On the A side, we have Atipic chief Priku serving up some reduced and deepy hypnotic afterhours business on the rather abstract "Outcast" while often underrated producer Mau goes in for some trippy tech-funk on our favourite cut "Time Modulation". On the flip, it's over to the scene's most ascendant star caLLy. The London resident at Stump continues a terrific run of releases with "Laga" and "Duoar Meh". These two rolling, bass-driven and functional tracks were on heavy rotation during Sunwaves - supported by Raresh amongst the other usual suspects.
