Review: Given the length of their production partnership, it's something of a surprise to find that this is the debut full-length from rave-included breakbeat twosome Deekline and Ed Solo. For those of a breaks bent, it should be essential - not just because of their 'scene stalwart' status, but also because it's a whole heap of fun. Of course, there are twists, turns, pop vocals and unlikely cuts - a tribute to Miami Sound Machine style '80s Latin dancefloor pop ("Gloria"), some gargantuan electro-pop business (the string-laden "Weekend Lover") - but for the most part it's a riotous romp through breaks, jungle revivalism, dubstep, Miami bass (the tongue-in-cheek "I Like Girls") and good old-fashioned party music.

Review: The virtuosic duo Evil Nine shine on 'Fabriclive 28,' an animated, alluring mix that explores the wide range and accessibility of breakbeat. Though classified as breakbeat producers, Evil Nine display their extensive knowledge and appreciation of all music genres on 'Fabriclive 28', featuring everything from rock to electro to techno to hip hop. This dynamic mix seamlessly introduces a stellar blend of tracks, including several rare remixes from some of the biggest names on the underground, and even contains a brilliant remix of their own. Evil Nine is one of Marine Parade's brightest stars; their debut album 'You Can Be Special Too' was internationally recognized as a breakbeat masterpiece, achieving much acclaim and success from both critics and DJs alike. Evil Nine has collaborated with many remarkable artists; their colossal hit 'Crooked' featuring Def Jux's Aesop Rock was hugely popular on charts across the board.

Review: With volume 3 due to drop in September, what better time to take this last opportunity to grab the last few copies of volume 2. Especially at such an irresistible price! Mixed by Ollywood and Ed 209 and hosted by MC Fearless, this suburb mix follows on from the massive success of volume 1, which was Time Out's Compilation of the Year 2004, and was nominated for Album of the Year at the International Breaks Awards.
